Great For Families


This house is a 1600 SF home that was renovated in 2020. The neighborhood is considered upscale and was built in the 80''s. There are no through streets so there is no loud noise or traffic.

This home is located 3 miles from Ft Walton Beaches and 7 miles to both Destin and Navarre Beach. I do live across the street should any problems arise. There are security cameras on only on the front of the home and the home has a monitored smoke/fire/weather alarm.
The back porch is very private with 8 ft privacy fences on both sides and trees/shrubs on the back fence. There is a TV on the back porch in the event you want to have a movie night. A permanently mounted propane grill is on the patio for cooking. (I furnish the propane)

Off the living room is a work are with a desk and side table if you bring a printer or other equipment.

This home is very clean and neat. This is a great place to spend with your family to enjoy our beaches and what the area has to offer. Instead of retiring for the evening in a crowded hotel/condo you can relax in a house . If you have any questions regarding this property please send me a message.

If you are traveling for 30+ days I can offer a special discount for military or traveling nurses.

Beautiful house in amazingly clean and kept up shape!

Property is in 10/10 shape. A lot of coastal houses are shaky but this one is obviously well maintained. Shower was high pressure and great to use. Everything clean and working. Lots and lots of room. Would definitely stay again!

Very Nice and Spacious House

We want to thank our host, Elaine, for being so welcoming and making our stay feel like a home away from home. This house is in a very quiet neighborhood, spacious and very close to everything, specially the military base and the Destin/Ft Walton Beach airport (VPS).

Wonderful!

The property was exactly as presented and the hostess was the mostest! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone coming to this area. It was quiet and the community was friendly. It was also close to everything I needed and wanted to do and go. The hostess provided everything I needed in the house, responded immediately with any requests, and was knowledgeable about what to do in the area. Needless to say, we had an exceptional stay.

The Perfect Beach Escape

We took our annual family trip down to Destin again this year and this home was nothing short of perfection. Usually we are always in the move on vacation but this one was spent mostly relaxing the days away. This home was perfect for our family and was perfectly stocked with everything we needed. Elaine was by far one of the most helpful hosts we’ve had in our 8 years of visiting the Destin area. My husband says his favorite part was the covered porch which him and his friend spent most of their time on enjoying the serenity and sun. Beds were comfortable and the home was so inviting and just what we needed after a day out on the sand. We loved the fact that there was a closed garage that we could pull the car in and feel safe with our belongings inside. Neighborhood was very quiet and lovely with quick access to many things. We will definitely be booking again, hopefully sooner than a year out. Thank you Elaina and family for opening your beautiful home to us and making this such an enjoyable experience.

Best VRBO I have ever stayed at!

This should be the blueprint for anyone looking to have their own VRBO, they should stay here first and see how it is done. Every attention to detail is made. Items were not the most generic purchased, everything was top quality. Furniture was great, not flimsy cheap stuff, you really felt like you were staying in a Home and not a house if that makes sense. I would stay again for sure!

Just like home

Our host was so accommodating, from special snacks to lots of DVDs and games. TVs in every room, nice furniture and safe neighborhood. Close to restaurants and beaches. Our host was available to answer all our questions. House was very clean and updated.

Best trip ever

The house was absolutely wonderful. Elaine was an incredible host. Our favorite part was spending the evenings on the screened in back porch watching movies as the sun went down. Elaine left us with some food menu's in our check in book with some awesome suggestions. She was also super helpful in answering any of our qeustions or conserns. The house was very clean and the property very well maintained. All in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely be back soon to stay here again.

Great Wedding Vacay with our kids!

We enjoyed our stay so much! Elaine had everything set up and ready to go from day 1. We really didn't need to bring anything but our clothes lol. She absolutely made us feel comfortable. That's that southern hospitality!!!! The house was very spacious and looked just like the pictures provided! Our kids and dog enjoyed the back patio the most! When we return to Ft. Absolutely amazing!!!!

Mine and my husbands stay at Elaine’s home was absolutely perfect in every way! She met us in the driveway when we first got there and showed us around the house and told us about some restaurants nearby that we could try and that she recommended! The house was completely stocked with anything and everything you could ever need! And if you didn’t have something you needed, Elaine was just a quick message or call away! It was an absolutely beautiful home located in a quiet neighborhood. The beds were super comfy and warm, but my favorite was the gray recliner in the living room with the striped blanket! So comfy! There was nothing like curling up in front of the TV on the recliners under the blankets after a long day of being at the beach or shopping all around! There were also plenty of beach toys that you could use, as well as small things around the house you could use! Elaine really thought of everything! I have absolutely no complaints and would recommend anyone stay here that wants the comforts of home away from home while being super close to beaches, stores, restaurants, etc! I would absolutely stay here again and will be telling all of my family and friends about it! Thank you Elaine for being such an awesome host and for opening your house to us! We will definitely be back in the future!

Wonderful experience

The house was clean and extremely comfortable. Recliners are kinda essential for us to rest comfortably, and there were two! Everything was spotless and the host provided all the essentials and beyond. Elaine was absolutely gracious and suggested restaurants and other info that enhanced our visit. Excellent place to spend a week in Florida.

I am a Charter Boat Captain ! I grew up in Biloxi, MS and, after moving to Florida in 1975 I found realized I found paradise and vowed to stay in this area. The beaches and water in Ft Walton/Destin area is spectacular.

I went to school in Biloxi, MS and then went on to get my BA degree from Troy State University. I worked for State Farm Insurance Company as a Claim Rep/Trainer/Reinspector for 32 years. Before that I worked in State Farm agent's offices for 10 years. When I retired in 2012 I didn't want to quit working, I just wanted a different job. Since I was an avid fishing person I decided to get my Captain's License and work as a Charter Captain running my own boat...The Ruthless. (I have to tell you that story when I see you). Since I enjoy people I started having people through a rental agency as a short term rental. When I acquired the house across the street from me I decided to make it a short term rental.

I now spend my days working on providing people a nice place to stay on our beautiful "Emerald Coast".

Why they chose this property

This property is a very nice brick home in a very quiet neighborhood within 7 miles from beaches in both directions. During the summer time the traffic in the Destin area can become gridlocked. Since this home is mid way between Destin and Navarre Beaches you can go to either beach and avoid traffic.
My home is very clean and furnished with everything you need to spend your vacation. There is a washer and dryer on the property so you can keep with your laundry and beach towels. The neighborhood is very quiet and there are no "through streets" with high traffic. The Santa Rosa Mall is just 2 blocks away (walking distance).

What makes this property unique

The home has a split bedroom plan with 2 bedrooms on one end and the master bedroom and bath on the other end. The yard is very private with a 6ft wood privacy fence around the property.

This property is close to the Santa Rosa Mall as well as a short distance from Destin, Ft Walton and Navarre Beach. There are lots of places to dine in the area. There is also an infrared grill available for your use.

During the winter months the rates drop to a very affordable price with a week long stay.
