Lakeside Cabin House, 2 Bed 1 Bath

This is a year-round cabin with a fantastic location in Lakeside, MT. Walking distance to downtown Lakeside, grocery, post office, bank, bars, restaurants, and the city beach on Flathead Lake. Cabin is just off Blacktail Mountain Rd. making for easy access to Blacktail Mountain Ski Area and the cross-country ski trails. Two bedrooms, the loft bedroom has a queen bed (We installed a new railing on stairs 2023) , the downstairs bedroom has a full bed. There is also a queen sofa bed downstairs. There is one bathroom on the main level. Grill on the deck with an outdoor table and chairs. Relax and soak in the hot tub. Dining table with 4 chairs, New flat screen TV with Netflix and Hulu, coffee- maker, wi-fi, microwave, blender, etc. Covered parking. This is a family cabin with stairs, that may be difficult for toddlers and elderly.

Cozy cabin in a great area

We loved this property it was just right for my friends and I! the cabin itself is super cute and clean and had everything we needed. We loved how close everything was and the wildlife in the front and back yard was amazing to watch. The hot tub is awesome and overall had an amazing time staying at this property.

Peaceful getaway

Amazing Cabin!

Perfect basecamp

Stayed for the week while we hiked in GNP. This cabin was perfect. Set back away from the main road but close enough to enjoy the quaint lakeside town. Pretty central to alot of popular areas near the park. The back view is of the local waste depost. But its far enough off to not hear much noise . Would definitely stay here again!

Great cabin with view & wildlife

We very much liked your north woods cabin! The wildlife was super fun. We had a new born fawn still with spots and spindly legs that would bed down in the wooded lot next door. we would talk to him/her from a distance every day. Turkeys were abundant. The cabin is snug & comfy-/says my wife. But I liked the animals most too.

Cabin in the woods

We loved this little place! Very clean and comfortable, quiet and close to town. Very well stocked and has everything one needs for cooking. There are a few other reviews that mention the steep stairs with no railing - a railing has been added. So it’s still a fairly steep stairway, but safe with the new railing. Will stay again….

Good Location

The location worked well for us for the activities we had planned. Everything we needed was there. We enjoyed the deck and watching the wildlife. Turkeys and deer frequently passed within 25 yards of us and didn't seem to mind us watching from the deck. The younger family members enjoyed the hot tub. The stairs looked a bit daunting at first but were easily manageable. We had a comfortable, woodsy experience and enjoyed our stay.

We will be back

Great location, just a short drive to the lake. The reviews had mentioned the challenges of the stairs/ladder up to the loft. We did not find this to be an issue, on both side there is a rail providing plenty of support when going up or down. Property had everything you would need should you want to dine in and cook your own meals. Loved having the hot tub and spent every night out under the stars enjoying the peacefulness. Be aware that if you are planning not to drive and to walk to local restaurants and downtown, it’s probably an 20 minute + walk with some uphill areas. We had a wonderful experience and definitely are planning to return.

Adequate

There are no city street signs to locate this property, but we found it. There is a very far away lake view but definitely not a short walk to the city beach. The real view is of the local dump. The upper bedroom is too hot to sleep in so we chose the basement, either one requires stairs to the bathroom. The hot tub was not hot when we arrived. It takes a day to heat. None of the wastebaskets had liners, we had to place them in the containers. The plants were dry so we watered them, they leave a note for the occupants to do that. The toilet is flushing challenged. We left a day early. This place is overpriced for what it actually is.

Classy Cabin in the Woods

We had a relaxing, quiet time watching wildlife and hiking. Lakeside is very near and groceries were easy to get. Also restaurants and access to beautiful Flathead Lake. The only annoyance were the steep stairs to the bedroom. We are elderly otherwise it wouldn't be an issue. Go and enjoy!

Dreamy Lakeside Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at Scott’s cabin in the woods! It was very clean and the bedrooms offered good sized, comfortable beds and nice sized closet space. The outdoor wrap around porch and jacuzzi made for a beautiful Montana experience. Just minutes from the town’s restaurants, bars, brewery, and lake activities, the cabin could not have been more perfect for our stay. We will definitely be back!

Loved the Area, Cabin was Tolerable

We stayed in late June and Flathead Lake is a stunning place to visit. We loved the property’s proximity to the park, restaurants, Glacier National Park, and other nearby cities. For the most part the cabin was simply tolerable for us. The solid surface kitchen counters are nice and having a deck off the kitchen was enjoyable. The basement laundry area was clean and great to have. Note the open, vertical staircase is steep and it doesn’t have a railing on the open side. We knew to expect a steep incline, but the lack of a railing was a bit of a surprise. The main bedroom is upstairs, and all other living areas are on the main floor or in the basement, so if you wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom it’s a bit treacherous. It’s also worth mentioning we are very active, agile, physically capable humans and both of us had a few scary moments. The location was private without many neighbors which was nice. The property isn’t landscaped and has a wooded feel, but don’t plan on playing any yard games. There is a dump, transfer station right behind the property, which wasn’t too disruptive, but again, notable mostly for the view. We did hear the dumpster lids closing frequently but it wasn’t overly disruptive. While the carpets, floors and sheets were clean, we were disappointed with the cleanliness. When we arrived, the counters had stuck on food from the previous guests. ALL the dishes, glasses, pot, pans, bowls, cabinets, and their contents were dirty, dusty, and sticky. Furthermore, though it’s nice to have supplied pantry staple items, much of the items were expired by years and covered in stick. There was an old used cleaning sponge in the freezer used for God knows what. The dish cleaning rack and sponges in the sink were well used and smelly which is unpleasant particularly when there isn’t a dishwasher. The outdoor furniture had stuck on food and needed cleaning before sitting. The bathroom towels are old, well used and stained. The outdoor trash cans hadn’t been emptied so thank goodness we planned on eating out more this trip. And regrettably, the hot tub was covered in cobwebs; and silty and filmy on the inside. Overall, we spent our first two hours (minimum) upon arrival cleaning and had to continue to clean most things before use, which was a disappointment when trying to enjoy vacation. Standards depending you might consider staying here. We loved the area and plan on returning but we will find a different place.

Perfect for relaxation after exploring Flathead Lake area and GNP

My husband and two adult daughters enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sitting on the wrap around deck after long days out and about exploring. We were a little over 0.5 miles from the late but could see it and the mountains behind it from the deck and kitchen/dining windows. We loved the visits from deer (fawns were the cutest) every evening. We had everything we needed at the house to enjoy a great stay.

Whitecap mountains

We had such an enjoyable stay at this location. Close to everything we wanted and such pretty views. Saw lots of wildlife from the deck. The residence was well stocked with anything we could have anticipated. Like other reviews state, stairs are fairly steep with railings on one side and open on the other. Would most definitely stay here again!

Charming cabin with great amenities

Wonderful and scenic

We will certainly stay here again. It was so scenic and had everything we needed for our stay! The cabin was beautiful and rustic, and we loved watching the sunrise over the lake and mountains.

Lovely cabin in the woods with wildlife

Perfectly suited our needs. Only shortcomings are the stairwells for the upstairs bedroom and lower level bedroom, with the sole bathroom on the main floor. May be troublesome for those less able. Great kitchen, good heating and air conditioning, and close to grocery and lake. WiFi and cable worked well. We would love to come back.

Great for a base camp

This little cabin is a perfect spot for a base camp. It has everything you need, and the hot tub is a nice way to finish off a busy day of hiking. It isn't close to the lake. In fact, you can barely see the lake so if you're looking for lakeviews, you won't get them. The other thing to note, is that the back side of the property overlooks a landfill. Not mounds of garbage, but a landfill of some sort. Not a huge issue for me, but may be for others. Overall, this place gave me everything I needed.

A week in Heaven !

Loved the cabin, fully equipped with everything you would need, plus Deer and Wild Turkeys in the yard, the only down side, little hard to find even with GPS, but on second thoughts I didn't find anything well marked except WALMART, LOL
