Fun, fantastic house

Really larger space than it looks in photos. Large main level has everything you need for communal hanging out. House is in great condition, doesn't feel like it was thrown together with odds and ends. Cute little park and mini-beach a 30-second walk away. Parking very easy. Does take a little local knowledge to navigate some one-way streets, but totally worth it once you're there. Communication with the owner was flawless - couldn't be better. Absolutely would stay here again.

Beautiful cozy house for our trip

Wonderful space and especially the kitchen and living space. We had room to cook together and play board games. The rooms were wonderful and they were well decorated.

Cozy Christmas Stay

This is one of our favorite properties to stay at when visiting NJ. The home is cozy, charming and has fantastic views. Gary is welcoming and always available to answer any questions. The check-in process is easy. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Another enjoyable stay

We’ve been staying in the Highlands for years and this is one of our favorite spots. We enjoy cooking and relaxing together in the open concept downstairs. The host is always available to answer questions or help out in any way. The area is safe, quiet at night, and walking distance to several eateries and bars. We appreciate the reasonable rates and the overall experience and will continue to stay there w hen it’s available.

clean neet all amenities kitchen cook ware ample parking for several cars and kayak trailer very private quiet street and beautiful view of river. Peter the caretaker is a wealth of local knowledge and a pleasure to chat with. we will book again next year cheers

Convenient and beautiful location

We stayed here to attend a wedding nearby and everything about it was so convenient. Easy check-in and check-out, easy parking, easy access to nearby restaurants and the Sandy Hook beach! The place was clean and had enough towels for all the guests. The kitchen has a few basic cooking supplies b

Comfortable and quiet home

We have stayed in this property a few times and as always, we enjoyed our stay. The house is clean, spacious and in a beautiful location. Gary is a wonderful host and always available to answer any questions we might have. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Amazing place!

I rented this home for a Friday-Sunday. On Saturday my bridesmaids got ready in the house before our wedding. The open floor plan and incredible location on the river made it the perfect spot. Check in was incredibly easy and we were greeted by the property manager when we arrived. There is access to the riverfront with chairs and it was a great place to get photos with my bridesmaids. I highly recommend this home! The house was clean and is close to everything Highlands has to offer.

It was so nice ,and Gary let us check in earlier , let us keep the beachchairs and towels , because we were still staying at the beach , and he responded soooo fast 👍👌 it is nice that there is still some affordable nice places to stay , and that’s why we are coming back

mix-up reservation?

Unfortunately, we did not get to stay at the property. Another customer occupied our reserved three-bedroom unit, so we were offered a one-bedroom unit. We asked if we could arrive before 4 pm check-in time. Gary let us know on the arrival day he could not have the unit ready any earlier. We let him know that we would arrive at 4 pm, and we did. This is when he let us know he gave our unit to another family. He quickly offered to fully refund our payment and use the one-bedroom unit for the rest of the day. Gary was friendly and polite, but we drove back home feeling somewhat despondent. My family missed out on the Labor Day Weekend vacation.

Perfect location, really nice and responsive hosts

One of 5 separate short term rentals on a piece of property right on the water. So easy to walk to all the restaurants in town. The manager is right next door and very helpful. Passes provided for Sandy Hook beaches. Plenty of parking on site. Could use some more dishes and silverware. We will definitely be back next summer!ssiteand street side.

Family tradition

We rent properties from this host every year, and this year was the first we tried the Waterfront House - spacious, beautiful, and perfect for an extended getaway. We were very pleased with the amenities, and loved the open kitchen-living room area - really perfect for unwinding after each day.

Great quiet beach getaway spot

We booked this property for a bachelorette trip and it was amazing! The location is pretty secluded with a beautiful view of the bay and still close enough to the beach for easy access. There are also lots of restaurants & bars within walking distance which was convenient. The host was super nice and accommodating. The house is big with lots of room for 6 people and plenty of different spaces to gather. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful beach getaway!

Lovely and charming

The home is charming and lovely with lovely views of the river all over the shared property of rental homes. Very close to the beach. Having rented in the outer banks, NC, where you get one roll of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels- it was well appointed even with beach chairs and towels- all of the extras I brought were not needed. Walking distance to local seafood restaurants, bakery/coffee shop, and ice cream. Allow time to get to Sandy Hook Beach from the house- go early or you will be slow going over the bridge- they also offered a beach pass so you don't have to pay for parking at Sandy Hook Beach- owners extremely responsive to our special needs- would 100% go back. You can also visit the beach at night with no traffic at all which we did every night- just beautiful- there is a small river beach and small board walk right off the property as well where I sunbathed. While it's a shared property, I rarely ran into anyone. it was lovely.

Great house for our trip to Long Branch

Spent a few days at my grandsons Dance event in Long Brach and this house was perfect for us. first floor has a very open setup with a nice kitchen and dining room a large couch with a nice TV three bedrooms two on 2nd floor and an apartment like one on the third floor, When my 17 year old grandson saw it he asked if he could move in. We highly with reccomend as it can handle 4-6 + guests with no problems at all
