A full size Ingles Grocery store is 8 min. away in Etowah. The Asheville regional airport is a short drive of 20 min.
Within 45 min. one can drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, hike, and cool off at Sliding Rock in the Pisgah National Forest, and bike in the Dupont State Forest and Biltmore Estate. A little further is the Green River for kayaking and tubing, Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi, Lake Lure and Chimney Rock Park. There are over 200 waterfalls in the area.
