About this property

Life's Escape | Outdoor + Indoor Hot Tubs, Game Room!

You don’t need to travel far to feel as if you’re away from the hubbub of the everyday. That’s the beauty of Life’s Escape. Thanks to its two deluxe primary suites, complete with fireplaces and jetted tubs, the log cabin is a cocoon of relaxation, pampering and serenity, yet it’s only a 15-minute drive from restaurants, shops and the excitement of downtown Gatlinburg.

One reason Life’s Escape feels like a little piece of paradise is its woodland setting. Whether you’re gazing out a window or lazing on a deck, during the day, you’ll see sun-dappled trees, hear warblers and thrushes and feel the gentle caress of the mountain breeze. At night you’ll be able to admire the star-studded sky while crickets chirp, nightjars sing and owls hoot.

The recently renovated cabin has two rear decks from which you can glory in the sights and sounds. On one deck is a hot tub where you can soak among steamy bubbles. The other deck is furnished with a porch swing, gliders and a table for alfresco meals and cocktails.

The main floor’s living area manages to be both roomy and cozy, which is no easy task. The generously cushioned couch invites you to kick back and watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. The armchairs are so comfortable, once you sink into them you may never want to get back up. In winter you’ll love nothing more than to sit by the stone-surround fireplace, hot cocoa or brandy in hand, and watch the shadows of the flames dance along the walls before you settle down to a hearty meal at the dining table.

As for what to eat at the dining table, thanks to the fully equipped kitchen, you can cook just about anything you want: trout you reeled in yourself from a nearby stream, a gourmet meal of the sort you never have time to prepare at home or leftovers from the previous night’s restaurant meal. Major appliances, a coffee maker, a blender, pots and pans and tableware, the kitchen of Life’s Escape has it all. Also, there’s a charcoal grill outside to satisfy any cravings for a barbecue.

After dinner, you might want to head to the downstairs game room, where you’ll find two game arcades as well as a card table. Or maybe you’ll retreat to one of the two bedrooms, even if you’re not yet ready for bed. Both suites are true havens. Each has its own private bathroom, a sumptuous king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, a fireplace, and perhaps best of all, a Jacuzzi large enough for two. Here’s your chance to spoil yourself and your special someone. And because one suite is downstairs while the other is on the main floor, you can vacation with another couple while still enjoying exceptional privacy. What's more, the game room offers a sofa that pulls out to sleep two more. Life's Escape sleeps six guests in all.

When you stay at Life’s Escape, you might be tempted to turn in early, stay in bed late and while away most of the day in the romantic splendor of your bedroom or the decks. And why not? You are on vacation, after all. Should you want to emerge from your private oasis, though, you’ll find plenty to see and do just beyond your door. For instance, you can drive to downtown Gatlinburg in 15 minutes to visit the restaurants and shops, the Guinness World Records Adventure, an aquarium and a tram that carries you over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area. Just as close to Life's Escape is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with its wildflowers, waterfalls and wildlife. You could easily spend a day exploring the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, an eight-mile trail of studios, galleries and shops. And Dollywood is less than a half-hour drive away.

No matter which of the many local attractions you experience, though, there’s a good chance that a highlight of your stay will be simply indulging in the quiet luxuries of Life’s Escape itself—the cabin is that glorious. See for yourself—book your stay today.

Cozy spring break

My kids loved the game room and we thought the property was perfect for our week. The hot tub could be hotter (only 97 degrees) but everything else was great!

Very Nice

The cabin was exactly as described. Clean and cozy with fireplaces in each room. Towels and other small supplies were provided which I had not expected. Every detail was as described. The winding roads were a little uncomfortable but just glad it wasn't in the winter time. Enjoyed the stay and would come again. Thanks for making it so easy.

Family getaway

Our stay at Life's Escape was wonderful and gave us a nice escape from our normal every day life. The cabin was exactly what we expected based off the listing and other reviews. It was clean but could use a good deep cleaning. We were prepared for the road up to the cabin based off other reviews we read. The roads are narrow, winding and steep, so just be prepared. We really liked that we were centrally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and could be in either within minutes. We would definitely consider staying here again!

Great trip

We thought the location of cabin was awesome. Was nervous driving up the steep mountain. Glad no one else was on the road. We saw a bear eating berries on someone outdoor table. Would stay at this cabin again.

Good cabin and location, but bring TP!

While we loved this property and the location, the annoyance of only getting a single roll of TP in each bathroom and being told we must buy our own after that’s gone, was very annoying to say the least! A 3 day stay should be carefree with amenities and normally is. When I texted the propert manager, they quickly responded to bringing the missing paper towels but could not provide more wash cloths, only 1 per person per stay which is insane. Please make better management decisions going forward because a few penny’s saved can cost your far more in the big picture. We enjoyed everything else, the wonderful deck. The huge bear waking down the road, the remote location on the mountain top yet close to town, and the other amenities. However, our story will always include that the owner didn’t provide enough TP which was short sighted. Think this courtesy through by or at least tell folks up front in your listing.

Great Place Away From Town

Clean, quiet, great location. Close to town but far enough away to get away from the hustle. Hot tub was a great addition. Gas fire places were all nice and worked every time. Guest services were quick with responses and help if needed. Would stay again!

Definite get away

True mountain rental! Away up in the mountain for sure. At least we thought so. Wonderful to get away from the hustle of the city but close enough to get to everything. Cozy and comfortable for sure! Will stay again when we return for sure!!!

Nice for the most part

The road up to the cabin was extremely steep and narrow. Definitely wouldn’t want to do it in snow. We enjoyed the hot tub and games. Nice stocked kitchen to cook in. A few more towels would have been appreciated. The one bad thing was we were woken up every night by some sort of critter scratching on the bedroom walls. Thinking it was bats coming in to roost around the wee hours of the morning.

Best family vacation rental

We had the best time at Life’s Eacape! We got home from breakfast in town to a bear on our garbage. It was the coolest experience for us and our 3 sons!! As we drove closer he roamed away! The hot tub was more like pool temperature and wouldn’t heat up until my husband unplugged it and reset it on the last day. Not that big of a deal to us… the two arcade machines were perfect for the kids! We got to explore Gatlinburg and do a ton of fun things and also relax at the cabin!

Would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. Cabin was clean and well maintained. You’ll get a true mountain experience as the twisting roads to the cabin seem to go straight up (or down) and feel so narrow! I was unprepared so I thought it should be included in my review. The views are worth it. The only small issue we had with the cabin, was that the doors and floors squeak so loudly. An early riser who wants to quietly get up and make coffee is impossible! Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend this cabin and management company.

Weekend Getaway

This cozy suite-style cabin was home to my fiance and another couple for a 4-day weekend stay. The cabin was very nice, clean, and perfect for the weekend we had planned. The suite-style setup allows for privacy with the bedrooms and bathrooms being on different floors, as well as a nice living room/kitchen area for hanging out. The hot tub was in awesome and made for a nice way to spend the evening relaxing at the end of a long day. If you are staying here for longer than a couple of days or planning on cooking at the cabin, I would consider bringing a few extra trash bags and paper towels as there weren't many provided. Other than that, the cabin was amazing and I would highly recommend it.
