Excellent stay at the Grand Lodge

This is our 3rd time at the Grand Lodge. Every year, the property gets upgrades which have only elevated the experience. The owners are wonderful and easy to get a hold of/communicate with should anything arise. Will definitely be scheduling to stay there again next year.

Relaxing Weekend!

A group of girlfriends decided we needed some time away. We had stayed here last year, and the location was good for us, so we booked it again. This is the third year in a row I've stayed at Camp Blue Canoe, and I'm enjoying watching the progress made on fixing it up. We had a lovely weekend relaxing and enjoying catching up.

Perfect for what we were looking for!

A large group of friends rented this place for the weekend. It was perfect for our needs. Lots of room to socialize. Lots of games. (Not that we didn't bring our own!) Lots of table space. We had a couple questions for the host, and they were absolutely great to work with. They answered each of our concerns to our satisfaction and with promptness. We hope to be back next year!

BIG place, fun for the kids and adults, nice lake and boats.

This building is a music hall/meetings hall with kitchen bunk rooms and family game room. Dated and in need of some TLC, it nonetheless was clean and functional for 3 families to spend 3 nights. Please note to bring your own filtered water, garbage bags, dishsoap, blankets, charcoal/firewood, blender, mixer, extra utensiles etc as needed. Basic coffee maker, pots/pans, utensiles. Water is hard, and no water conditioner.

Fun week away!

We rented this property for the week with 4 adults and 6 kids. There was plenty of space to relax and for the kids to run around. Nice open family room area with games. Kitchen is large but bring what you need for cooking, as far as utensils and pots and pans if you have more than 5-6 people. 2 large bathrooms and a separate shower area made it easy to get ready. We loved going down to the beach area and swimming in the lake each day!!

Bday get away

We went to celebrate my husbands birthday and William was very accommodating. The music hall is very spacious. The sleeping arrangements aren't conducive for couples looking for privacy but you can sleep 12 adults and 2 toddlers, so long as you don't mind shareing a sleeping space. We had a nice time over all!

Our group of 11 had more than enough space for everyone to interact and relax as tbey chose. The pictures do not do justice to how large the Music Hall is.

It worked for our family!

The facility worked really well for us. We had 13 people (7 adults and 6 kids) and we all had a great time. We stayed in the Music Hall. I agree with all the comments I read before going. The places is huge - the pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen was large and had good counter space for what we needed, but we did have to reuse a few items for each meal - example, had to make one pasta in a pot, then wash it out and cook the next item. That was the worst thing we experienced, so we were very happy and would consider staying there again if in the area.

Peaceful fun

I took my son and his bass fishing team for a long weekend. They loved it. I did bring my own pots thankfully. The set up of the beds could go a little differently just to be more efficient w/the space. It’s perfect for a large group. The smell of sulfur in the water was a surprise but you get use to it.

Relaxing and fun

We enjoyed our time here. The property is a bit of a distance from the lake, but not bad. The lake is beautiful. We sucked at fishing (lol) but otherwise, we had a great time. The property is HUGE and very spacious.

Great no frills getaway

This place is really no frills. You bring your linens, your towels, and your toilet paper. You will battle bugs. However, if your expectations are in the right place you will be fine! There is a very small beach area which can accommodate 2-3 small groups at a time. Most of the lake has lily pads and plants in it, but it’s pretty. Having access ($10 per day) to kayaks, fishing boats, and canoes is what drew us to this place. The kids kept occupied in the boats and trying to catch fish for two days. I think there are 6-7 cabins sharing the lake and other resources so you may find it overloaded if everyone converges on the lake at once. There are lots of other parks and lakes nearby, though. Music hall really is a hall and was not designed as a residence. It looks like an old church camp meeting hall. There are two large gathering rooms that are not well pictured. One is a tv room and the other is an open room with dining for 15 or so, a ping pong table, and a tv with a DVD player. The tv had Roku with Netflix. We had no problem accessing the shared internet from inside. There is a large, private grilling area with picnic table and bonfire just outside the dining room. There are TWO toilets (I was only expecting one, so that was a bonus), and one shower. This place can accommodate a very large group. However, if you plan to cook all of your meals you really should bring the basics with you. I would say there is enough stocked in the kitchen to cook for 4-5 people easily. We had to get creative with cookware to feed our family of of 7. There was no coffee, filters, salt, pepper, or other basic when we were there, so you will have to bring or buy everything that you need for cooking. We had a good time. You will too, if your expectations are clear :)

Hey there!

Welcome to Camp Blue Canoe and thank you for checking us out. We are the family behind this beautiful, nature filled getaway we call paradise! Our tribe, the LaGiglias and the Regans, is all in the family. Bustling with 4 adults and 7 kids between our two households, we understand the daily grind, the everyday challenges, and frankly... the need to sometimes just got out of Dodge. The first time we walked this amazing 13 acres of Pure Michigan, we were completely sold. The rolling green hills, the waving forest trees, and the majestic Little Pleasant Lake instantly captured our family's hearts.

Our goal is to create that home away from home for families just like ours. We hope everyone staying at Camp Blue Canoe can wind down, take in the fresh air, and forget life for awhile. We are committed to making your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible and creating a relaxing environment. Stay tuned, we have huge plans for this place and hope you will come along for the ride!
