Step back in time and stay in your own private 15th century house. Perfect for families or couples. Originally part of the castle wall, Cielo Aperto is located in the oldest part of the village and a minute's walk away from the central piazza. Awaken to the smell of freshly baked bread and the pealing of village bells. It has an amazing vista stretching from the clear Adriatic Sea over the vineyards and olive groves to the majestic Sibyllini and Appenine Mountains in the distance.

Walk through the cobbled streets, past the beautiful churches to the magnificent Fortezza. Enjoy a traditional meal served with locally produced wines at any of the village restaurants or an expresso or homemade ice cream at the bars.

A 10 minute drive takes you to the popular Italian seaside holiday destination of San Benedetto del Tronto with its Blue Flag beaches and amazing seafood. Meander inland through beautiful countryside up to ancient hill top villages each serving its regional food and cantinas selling the local wine.

The property is spread over three floors and is completely self-contained. The Top Floor: There are two bedrooms and a small shower room. The main double bedroom is furnished with natural wood from the region. An antique doorway opens onto a small balcony with the south facing panoramic view. One enters Cielo Aperto here through the hall. You pass through the hall either to the lounge or the kitchen. The brightly coloured lounge has a large sofa. Here you can watch TV or chose from our selection of board games. The desk has local information of interest. A door opens onto a further balcony where you look over the valley to the San Francisco Church. From the lounge you reach the third bedroom. The kitchen has been furnished in a traditional antique style to match the house. A large full size fridge-freezer is at your disposal. wirklich schön

Tolles Haus, toller Blick....

Totally fabulous

We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful and quaint 3 story house in Acquaviva Picena. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and homely, tastefully furnished and very well equipped with kitchenware and a washing machine. The village is lovey and a 10 minute drive to the beaches of San Benedetto and Grottonmare. We loved our stay and have made another booking for July 2018. Highly recommend this beautiful home.

Einfach toll!

Thanks For The Perfect Italian Family Holiday!!

Thank you to Clare for ensuring that we had the most amazing authentic Italian family holiday, I'm still dreaming of the view from the garden sitting with a sun downer in hand overlooking the snow capped mountains & the ocean with countless olive trees in between - Bliss :) We were so lucky to find a well run guest house like Cielo Aperto that suited having a baby with us and we were able to cater for ourselves in the fully equipped house with a fully functional kitchen where we spent alot of time eating amazing food, we loved going to all the local spots in Acqua Viva & San Benedetto for fresh pasta, meats from the local butcher, cappachinos & pastries and drinking amazing local wines!!! The recommended seafood restaurants on the beach were an absolute highlight, having 10 courses of the most insane fresh fish, prawns, calamari was something you have to have at least once in your life!! thanks for organizing this for us Clare! Having a local like clare who knows the area so well makes it extra special as she is so passionate about where she lives and knows all the best spots to go, there are so many little towns in the area and clare knows the gems! Being 10 minutes from the beach & 30 mins to the beautiful mountains is just perfect, Clare also recommended a day trip to conero/Loreto which was also amazing! if you looking for a well priced guest house with great service for a family holiday then Cielo Aperto is highly recomended. Thanks again Clare and keep in touch! Stephen, Ros, Nathan & Matthew from Durban, South Africa

My sister, Clare moved to Acquaviva over 20 years ago and my family have been visiting her there ever since. When it got to the point where our two families had expanded to such a degree we needed another house. Clare, who has many years experience in the Hotel trade had a dream to run her own holiday home. We needed someone to look after our place. So the two dreams merged and the search for the right home began. We bought Cielo Aperto in 2008 and spent the following year furnishing it. Our first guest arrived in 2009 and we are delighted to say our returning guests expand in number every year.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a property that was part of the old town and full of character. We wanted it in Acquaviva as we could be walking distance from my sister. We wanted it at the top of the hill and had to face south so we could see that amazing view. We decided to call our home Cielo Aperto which means Open Heaven or Open Skies. We feel we are a little closer to heaven up there and the skies go on and on!

What makes this property unique

We feel Cielo Aperto is so special as you find yourself in the heart of an old Italian village. Yet in 5 minutes you are by the sea or in the heart of a thriving little town. The mountains, which you see every morning from your bedroom window is an hour away.
The layout of the house suits any combination of visitor whether it is a couple enjoying a romantic break staying in the self contained middle floor or an extended family which needs the space to spread out over the full three floors of the house on their holiday.
