About this property
CA SA Lloritana - 6 pax, private pool, wifi free!
If you're looking for the perfect holiday in Mallorca, then this is your holiday home! Comfortable and welcoming, it’s a gorgeous house in traditional Mallorcan style that's been completely refurbished and furnished in excellent taste.
Located between Sencelles and Costitx in the heart of the Mallorcan countryside in quiet, peaceful surroundings, the house itself is spacious, covering around 240 m², with 8,000 m² of outside space.
There's a large 8 x 4 swimming pool with a covered terrace, barbecue area, typical Mallorcan wood oven, fruit trees, and vegetable garden, and sometimes you might even stumble upon chickens, turkeys and sheep!
The house has two floors, there are 3 double bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms, 3 lounges and several terraces. On the first floor there's a double bedroom, a room that functions as a children's playroom, two lounges, a large, fully equipped kitchen with an open fire, oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kitchenware, etc., and a bathroom with a bath tub. On the upper floor, you’ll find two double bedrooms with both hot and cool air-conditioning, a lounge/dining room also with both hot and cool air-conditioning, a full bathroom, a well-equipped, sit-in kitchen office with oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave, with access to an outdoor terrace with magnificent views of the Serra de Tramuntana.
The owners are great horse lovers, and you'll find that an old barouche and some saddles as part of the décor.
The outdoor space is truly spectacular and comes with a swimming pool with 6 sun loungers, a barbecue area, two spacious dining areas and 3 terraces.
In fact, it’s the perfect place for relaxing and enjoying a wonderful family holiday in a recently renovated traditional Mallorcan house that's just for you.
There's parking with space for 4 vehicles, free Wi-Fi, and TV in the lounge.
The whole property is for your exclusive use.
On the day you arrive, we'll be there to welcome you, and to show you around the house and gardens. We'll make sure you have all the information you need about the island and the local area to make sure that you have an unforgettable holiday. We include an interactive map with a QR code that’ll geolocate all the most important places of interest and make it really easy for you to get around using your mobile. And we'll be on hand for you 24/7 to help you to get the most out of your stay.
We try to be as flexible as possible with regard to arrival and departure times, as long as you let us know in advance.
Hiring a vehicle is essential, as although the house is only 2 km from the village of Costitx, and 5 km from Sencelles, there are no convenient public transport links.
Costitx is an inland village where you have all the facilities you’ll need; there are two bars, a restaurant, two supermarkets, a chemist, two banks, two hairdressers, a beauty centre, a bakery and a gift shop.
On 1 May there's a flower festival, the Fira en Flor de Costitx, that's not to be missed. The locals all get together to decorate the streets with flowers and greenery – it's a festival that’s unique in Mallorca and is very popular with people from all over the island.
In the local area you'll find Son Corró, the Talayotic sanctuary where the famous bulls of Costitx (in the Mallorquín language, "caps de bou”) were found. These are very large bulls' heads cast in bronze that have huge symbolic and archaeological value, and are today kept in the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid. Centuries later it became a Muslim farmhouse in the Qanarûsha district, and when lands were distributed after the conquest of the island by the Crown of Aragon, it was given to Guillermo II de Bearn.
In Costitx you'll also find the Astronomical Observatory (open on Fridays and Saturdays by appointment). The observatory will shortly be celebrating 28 years of continued effort in research, innovation, technological development and discoveries, making it the astronomical observatory that has made the greatest number of direct discoveries in the history of Spanish astronomy.
Sineu is a small town close by, just 6 km away. Here you'll find a wide range of restaurants, and there's a market every Wednesday where they sell livestock that's not to be missed. This makes it unique on the island, and the kids will love it.
At around 8 km from the house lies the town of Inca, which is the heart of the Mallorcan leather industry. If you're a fan of Camper shoes, this is where their head office is. There's also a market every Thursday that's great for buying fresh fruit and vegetables. Inca is where the larger supermarkets like Mercadona, Aldi, Lidl, Müller and Hipercentro can be found.
Just a 30-minute drive away you'll find the best beaches on the island. Be sure to check out Colónia de Sant Jordi, Colónia de Sant Pere, Playa de Formentor, Cala Mondragó, Cala Comtessa, etc.
You'll fall in love with the stunning turquoise blue waters.
There are also some well-known towns and villages we recommend you visit: Valldemosa, Sóller, Deiá, Fornalutx, Bañalbufar, Petra, Sineu, Manacor, etc.
Sineu – 6 km: Wednesday is the best day to visit, as it's market day.
Inca – 8 km: Perfect for shopping, there's a variety of hypermarkets, and its well-known for its traditional leather industry. Don't miss the small shopping area.
Binissalem – 12 km: Well-known for its wineries.
Santa Maria – 16 km: We recommend you visit on a Sunday so that you can enjoy the local market.
Valldemosa – 40 km: A beautiful typically Mallorcan village which is famous as Chopin stayed at the monastery there.
Deià – 45 km: A picturesque, traditionally Mallorcan village.
Sóller – 45 km: We recommend starting out from Palma and taking the traditional little wooden train to Sóller.
