The property has two bedrooms; a double and a twin, both with TVs, sleeping four guests. There is also a shower room and an open-plan living room with kitchen, dining and sitting room. Outside is off-road parking for two cars (please note there are steps leading down to the property from the driveway), a garden hut for bike storage and an enclosed front and rear garden, both with outdoor furniture. Driftwood is a well-placed cottage for exploring the Lake District National Park.

With beautiful walks from Sandside, the hamlet has a pub, which is believed to date back to 1671, along with the Kingfisher Restaurant. Close by is Milnthorpe, which was once an important medieval market town, where today you will find narrow lanes and historic buildings, along with a selection of shops and pubs.
