Nice, but not as good as we hoped...
First of all, checking in here is a bit confusing! We did not receive an email explaining things, so it took us awhile to figure out we had to go to the nearby hotel first. Other people had the same problem we noticed, wandering around, not knowing why there was no one in the office.
Ultimately we had mixed feeling about our stay here, probably because this was our third stop during our time in Italy, and our expectations were high. This was the place we had splurged on since we’d be there for our anniversary. It was pretty much just as pictured, except lacking some TLC. The grass was long, the patio furniture was dirty, and the pool deck was covered in dried leaves. It wasn’t a terrible, but if it was looked after a bit more it could have been amazing. The pool itself seemed clean, and we did enjoy that, since it was so hot.
Our villa apartment, was nice, except for some reason there was a cot in our kitchen. On our bill we learned it was included in our total cost, but it was listed as extra bed-$240 for our 4 days, a bit crazy if you ask me! Our bathroom was a decent size, but oddly laid-out, and our shower made strange noises! Speaking of noises our villa was on the ground floor, and a family with children was above us, that was not so great, we could hear everything, lots of heavy feet and chair dragging!
Lastly, my husband and I like to get out for a walk, especially with all the pasta and wine we were having, as well as to explore the town were staying in. We found the town not the best for walking around, it was difficult to access and there wasn’t much to see really. Also of all the places we stayed in Italy, the people were the least friendly here, everywhere we went people just glared at us, and all we were doing was walking!
