Abbey court is a lovely comfortable flat in the Abbey close. I would say that the Abbey clock chiming throughout the night every 15 minutes and very close by with only single glazing is definitely a big draw back. The flat had not been cleaned properly ( if at all). I won’t go into details, suffice it to say that at £200 a night we paid, it was sadly lacking. I was told that normally no tea, coffee etc was supplied and the caretaker had to ask the owners if they would supply milk etc. We were not met on time as arranged. I think we should have been given the key press code BEFORE we arrived in Sherborne. There is very poor phone signal in the area and I was unable to contact the owners’ representative for some time. We will not be returning there.
