The Space:
My flat offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, tucked away on a peaceful street just behind the Glasgow School of Art, and only a short 5-minute stroll from the bustling city center. This spacious abode is equipped with all the amenities you need for a memorable stay. The Neighborhood:
The flat is situated right in the city centre within easy walking distance of the main shopping district, Buchanan Street and the Glasgow School of Arts. The Art School is a very hip spot offering frequent local and independent entertainment and a busy and vibrant atmosphere. You are also across the road from the famous GFT (Glasgow Film Theatre). This is a treat for any film/TV fan as the antique cinema, features special limited screenings and has a great in house upper bar to have the much needed post-movie chat! If you're hungry after all that we'd recommend a trip to Bar Bloc on the nearby Bath Street, offering an independent and vibrant menu at great prices (check out their daily deals such as their £3 burger and chips!)
Beyond that there are a plethora of other bars, restaurants, and cafes on your doorstep; the parks and open spaces of the West End are also easily reachable.
Getting Around:
The property is very centrally located so walking to most places is very easy. The closest bars, restaurants and cafes are only 3 minutes walk from the front door. Cowcaddens underground station is also a 2 minute walk from flat and this opens up the entire city. It only takes 8 minutes on the underground to Hillhead which puts you right in the heart of the vibrant westend. Glasgow central station is 12 minutes walk away, Queen Street station is 10 minutes walk and Buchanan Street bus station is 10 minutes walk.
Taxis: Private hire taxis are cheap in Glasgow! I can provide numbers. Alternatively Uber operates in the city so you can download the app.
Glasgow International Airport is approx 20 minutes in a taxi and will cost around £25. There is also the Airport express bus that you can get from Buchanan Street Bus Station.
Other Things to Note:
We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay
Please note, check in is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January.
For insurance purposes, the lead booker must be over 25. ID verification is required on all bookings.
