R HOUSE on Steps Beach in the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve

Relax at this award winning beachfront rental, located on Tres Palmas Marine Reserve, only 30 minutes from the Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN) in Aguadilla or 2 hours from the Luiz Munoz airport in San Juan.

The ground floor rental unit has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen and living room and outdoor dining that has ocean and sunset views. Air conditioning in all the bedrooms. Sleeps 4-6 people.

In the event of a water utility outage there are over 1000 gallons of cistern water that will flow into the property.

Enjoy beautiful sunsets every evening, world class snorkeling and scuba diving right in front of the house with turtles, exotic fish and the largest elkhorn coral reef in the Caribbean. Stunning views of Desecheo island, whale sightings occur throughout the winter months and world class surfing can be had at Tres Palmas Beach. Take a short walk to other surf spots such as Dogmans, Maria's and Domes.

Fall asleep in the outdoor hammock or enjoy organic herbs from R garden while barbecuing with friends and family in the backyard. Head out to the many local restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you are looking for something to do other than surf, try scuba diving, sailing, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, shopping, movies and many more activities within minutes of the house.

The property is pet friendly, but please one DOG only. You are required to keep your pet off the furniture and must pick up any mess left in the yard or surrounding area.

In case of a power outage the house counts with solar backup power.

This is a wonderful unit in an exceptional location. Quiet neighborhood right on the beach. Apartment was clean and tastefully appointed. Kitchen was well stocked and organized. Private back patio was perfect for hanging out and the beach was absolutely beautiful with a relaxed vibe. Great snorkeling right in front of the house on calm days. Great hosts as well. Hard to imagine anyone being in anyway disappointed with this rental.

Amazing location, super cute and comfy stay.

This place was tucked into a cute town on the surfing side of the island. Incredible beach step from the door for morning coffee. Walk to dinner or drinks. I highly recommend. We had my spouse and I, 3 teens (2 boys 1 girl). We were all pretty comfy.

Great for beach vacation--not a luxury listing

This is a great place to stay that's literally right on the beach. Lots of perfect amenities like an outdoor shower, tons of beach towels, a boogie board, an outdoor patio. But note that the stay is not luxury, the kitchen is basic, the furniture is basic. If that's what you're looking for (amazing beach access, basic furnishings), you honestly couldn't find a more perfect place. We loved it.

Great Beachside Getaway!

We had a fabulous stay at the R-House. The unit was spacious and very well stocked with everything you need for the house and the beach. We loved the location on Steps Beach, where you are only a short walk from a coral reef for snorkeling (gear provided with the house!). And the house is a short walk or drive from a number of other beaches and food options. Very quiet neighborhood made for a relaxing visit in Rincón.

'R" House is the best!

Everything about this property was fantastic! Exactly as advertised and perfect location. The host has done really thoughtful things throughout to make your stay so enjoyable such as beach chairs, cooler for use, snorkeling equipment, games and the best hammock perfect for napping! Highly recommend this property!

Great Location

What a wonderful time we had in Rincon. R House is perfectly situated... snorkeling, swimming, beaches, bars and surfing are all within a few short steps. After a long day in the sun, it was great to return to the house to lounge in the hammock or listen to the surf by candlelight on the terrace. This is a great place with fabulous property managers.

Wanderlust Wonderland

Absolutely amazing experience. The morning coffee on the beach with the soothing waves. Snorkeling around the extensive reefs of the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve right from your backyard! Conveniently walk for coffee or smoothies. Excellent access to surf at Sandy Beach or Domes. This beautiful home has everything you need. The owner was so friendly and helpful. I will miss RHOUSE :)

Beautiful space

This is a little paradise in the land of enchantment. We enjoyed our stay, only steps away from Steps beach.. you get to see the diverse beauty underwater. The place on its own can be a great to relax and rest irrespective of whether you choose to explore west of PR or just stay in Rincon!

Charming little house with amazing snorkeling out back!

We sure enjoyed our four nights here! Family of four, kids 12 & 7, loved loved the serenity and snorkeling! The house had everything we needed aside from the wi-fi issues (I'd let the owner know if this is really important/necessary for you, but our phones worked on the network, just slow!). The locations was walking distance from a couple good restaurants.

Everything we'd hoped for!

The house was awesome. We loved being right on the beach and being able to relax in the tide pools at low tide. The backyard was so lush and peaceful. Loved the book on the coffee table filled with all of the info needed to make the most of our time there. Great restaurants and the most beautiful beaches close by. Had a great dinner at Estela and The Beach House, which had amazing sunset views. Would love to return!

Gorgeous Beachfront Property.

Lovely beachfront home only a stones throw from the water in one of the nicest towns in Puerto Rico. Gorgeous Coral Reef to snorkel in right off of the beach and dining options a ten minute walk from the house. The hosts Allison and Leon are true "artisans" in the game and make sure everything you could need on your stay is available. They even made an awesome book detailing everything from best beaches to surf at to dining and entertainment available in the area. Stayed with my Wife and three daughters and everyone had a blast! Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Beautiful

This is a great location. The ocean was quite rough for our young kids, but there is a great, calm bay just down the beach for swimming and even a little snorkeling. This rental is the lower level of an occupied second story. The occupants upstairs were very kind and helpful, but we also heard them and their dog upstairs most of the time that we were in the home.

A home all ages can enjoy!

Some friends and I travelled all the way from Alaska to attend a dear friend's wedding. We felt so welcome the moment we pulled up! The house is super clean and has everything you need! The back yard is beautiful with the beach literally just a few steps away! Less than 5 mins from town, and just a short walk on the beach to some good eats and fishing charter. If we stay in Rincon again we would definitely rent this home again. Thanks Allison for everything!

Location, Location. Location

WOW. The property was awesome. World class snorkeling out the back door (gear at the house) and surfing down the road 1 mile for us beginners. The drive from San Juan sucks, but once your at the house you have no reason to leave. The owners are upstairs and very helpful but NEVER intrusive. The dog (Snickers) becomes part of your family. Dining options require VERY short drives or long walks. We were there during the "busy" season but never saw anyone. It's secluded and quiet. You will NOT be disappointed!!!!!

Great Location & Accommodations

We recently returned from our second trip to Rincon, first time staying at "R" Beach House. The house is located right on the beach where a little tide pool forms. Great for small kids who aren't big enough to play in the ocean. The house is within walking distance to a few restaurants (Shipwreck, Black Eagle) and a fantastic little authentic empanadilla stand for lunch. Also within a few minute drive from anywhere else you may want to go...grocery store, other beaches, dining options, etc. The house is stocked with everything you could need...flashlights, board games, videos, towels, snorkeling gear, beach chairs. Both bedrooms benefit from the sounds of the ocean while you sleep. Ali and Leon were helpful in finding us a babysitter, giving us recommendations, etc. Overall, we had an amazing time and will be back again.

Leon has lived in Rincon for well over 20 years and has loved every minute of it. After moving from NYC to the beaches of Rincon, the view of palm trees never gets old. Life doesn't get any better than this. Being able to swim or surf everyday at Steps, Tres Palmas, or any of the beautiful surf spots, hear the coqui frogs singing at night with the waves crashing on the beach, watching the most spectacular sunset every night, and eating fresh fruit that falls off the trees in the neighborhood is amazing
