The location was perfect for our family, plus our dog. The accommodation couldn’t have been better. 3 double bedrooms each with its on en-suite. Fully equipped kitchen, with the added bonus of milk, fresh farm eggs, and a delicious chocolate cake. Thank you Christine for your warm welcome and help. We thoroughly recommend.
We loved our stay at the farm. it was the best part of our trip. We felt like we were at home; the farm was so peaceful and beautiful. The views were amazing, as was the chocolate cake! We would highly recommend this stay!
Just perfect for going to a family wedding and enjoying local walks. Would have loved to have stayed longer!
Set in a stunning location, more spacious than expected, and everything was wonderful, we felt very welcomed and looked after! We really enjoyed our stay, thank you so much!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything showed that the host put a lot of thoughts into it. The only drawback is that it’s a little far from the Yorkshire dale national park.
Had a great weekend . The boys loved watching the lambs. The location was perfect for walking, with Bolton Abbey only 10 minutes away. Lots of pubs and restaurants. Overall a great place for a great weekend
Ideal cottage for a few days away as a family: spotless, spacious and outstanding attention to detail. Fabulous location on a working farm and within easy reach of lots of place to visit. Lovely host; friendly yet unobtrusive and outstanding communication. We hope to return.
Amazing, amazing, amazing ! Loved this beautiful house. Gorgeous location. Had everything we could possibly need. Christine is lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful.
The perfect New Year break in the perfect cottage. Thanks to Christine and Chris. Don’t read any other reviews, just book this place!!!!! (although not when we want to return please?)
A wonderful holiday in a lovely cottage with stunning views.
Fully equipped and spotlessly clean and hosts Christine and Chris made us feel very welcome in their space (hundreds of acres of it)
Petting the lambs and feeding the chickens would have kept the children amused for the entire week.
Looking forward to returning soon!
Cannot express how fabulous this place is.
The hosts Christine and Chris are welcoming and friendly and were more than happy to show us around to see the lambs. Set on a beautiful farm with it's own lovely walks.
Very welcoming place and a lovely chocolate cake upon arrival (as equally pleasant as the hosts)
Would highly recommend a stay.
Booked as a base for the family, for a wedding at tithe barn, great location, host was fab, didn’t mind a change of guests midweek after the groom had left x loved staying on a working farm , would recommend to family and friends xx
We have just spent a delightful week at Scaife Hall Farm. Being a working farm added richness to our experience. Having our welcoming host next door was reassuring.
The cottage is ideally located for exploring the Dales. The accommodation was first class and we highly recommend it.
A fabulous property. Spotless and well equipped yet cosy and comfortable. Christine was the perfect host, attentive yet not at all intrusive. The farm is beautiful with excellent walks locally and loads to do within a 30 minute drive. We will definitely return!
This property is everything it says on the tin!! A real home from home, Christine has thought of everything. The views, the location, the hosts and surrounding areas are all fabulous. If you are looking for a little piece of heaven, this is it. We are so pleased we have been able to experience it.
We had a superb week in this cottage, which is part of a farmhouse on an active farm. It was exciting to see the new calves arrive and able to stand up so soon after being born. The view from the upstairs windows at the front is amazing, and there is a lovely garden. Christine's hospitality was exemplary, with home-baked cake on arrival, fresh eggs, and plunger coffee. The kitchen is very well-equipped. Plenty of space for 6 adults, and a range of beautiful walks directly from the cottage. We would love to return someday.
The farm is in a completely beautiful spot with views stretching as far as the eye can see. Sheep stand on paths in the way of the car and potter around at the edge of the garden. The garden is nicely planted and faces south with a substantial garden table and chairs. The owner is around and lovely, but unobtrusive. She keeps chickens and we bought lots of fresh eggs for half the price of supermarket free range organic. Inside is nicely kitted out and comfy without being fussy.
Scaife Hall proved ideal for capturing the feel of living on a traditional Dales farm. Outdoors we cherished the pastoral farmyard setting. Inside we delighted with the modern kitchen and bath, and basked in the comforts of the other nicely-appointed rooms. Another indulgence for us as visitors from abroad was working(!) WiFi. Lots of alluring attractions are not far away. Nearby public footpaths offer their own rewards for those celebrating scenic landscapes.
From the start our charming host, Christine, made us feel most welcome. We are impressed by how well she and her husband transformed and divided a once-decrepit farmhouse to share with appreciative guests.
How amazing is this place. We immediately relaxed to the point that some days we just sat and enjoyed the farm. The accommodation was as per brochure. Everything needed was provided. The working farm was lovely to experience even with the arrival of twin calves! The chickens provided the most beautiful fresh eggs. The chocolate cake referenced on many reviews lived up to expectations. We sat out in the garden and enjoyed meals, drinks and scrabble well into the evenings. Location wise we were able to enjoy seeing the Dales without travelling far. Christine was fantastic sending us off in the right direction to see the best that the area had to offer. If you want to relax and recharge then this is the right place for you. We will most certainly return.
