A wonderful family get together for a special celebration

The property lived up to our expectations. There was enough in the mansion for everybody to enjoy despite the wide age range. Further afield there were lovely walks and of course Great Yarmouth for a swim in the sea.

Husbands 60th celebration

Our stay at Hill House was wonderful, the house, location, grounds and facilities were brilliant. Saturday evening we had Kayla and her team cook for us and the swing BBQ supper was outstanding, it was wonderful to hear on our last day at breakfast how much the whole family loved the house and everything it had to offer. Tara, the property manager you were amazing nothing was too much trouble and all my questions were always answered promptly. Thank you again for making our celebration a memorable one. (The only suggestion I would make is to change the orange sun loungers as they have been better days but nothing else)

Fantastic house

The house was truly fabulous. It was my 60th birthday weekend and we made full use of all the facilities. The only criticism was that over the weekend a corporate event was being set up in the grounds to commence on the Monday. This in itself was not a problem. However, during Sunday evening we had a couple of people wjo were going to the corporate event, wandering up to and around the house telling us they were staying there. We also had to redirect a delivery to the event when it arrived at the house at 10pm. On the Monday morning I also ended up with several catering staff for the event standing in the kitchen of the house saying they were there to set up for the catering for the event. They remained there dor around 15 minutes despite my explanation that we had the house until 10am and we hadn't dinished having breakfast. We also had a small coach turning up at the front of the house , dropping off attendees to the corporate event. I had confirmed with Tara previously that we would be staying until 10 am Monday so I was a bit disappointed with the intrusions. It could have been easily rectified by better signage to the corporate event , coning off the driveway to the house until we left? and better directions to staff and attendees.

Lovely place to stay!

We had a great time this week staying with family and friends, small children and 4 dogs included. Tara, the manager, is lovely and very communicative. The accommodation is very clean, well equipped with towels, toilet rolls, toiletries and the small things you often forget like dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc. Games room was thoroughly enjoyed by young and old, as well as the hot tub. Lovely fire pit and pizza ovens as well as plenty of seating areas in and outside. The only downers for us was the gardens weren’t fenced off so bit worrying with the dogs as at the back of the house there’s an open road. We also feel maybe the tv and sound systems could be updated but we definitely had a 5 star stay!

Perfect for a remote retreat!

Firstly the house is fantastic and has everything you could need to keep you entertained and safe during the pandemic, the staff set the house up perfectly to our specifications and it was clean throughout. Tara the house manager was very helpful with any questions we had and explained everything, they made themselves available at the end of a phone should you need assistance during your stay. Plenty of space within the house and grounds along with many activities that mean you can spend a week there easily without the need to venture off the grounds. The house is unique and well decorated, clean and comfortable. The games room will keep the kids and adults busy for hours! All amenities are well thought out and cater for all needs, dog friendly is what brought us to this house, our dogs loved the grounds and walks in the immediate local area. We will be booking to come back to Hill House!

We are a family of 5 (3 children -ages 11,12 and 16) and a dog. We're passionate about delivering wow factor experiences for our guests.

We fell in love with Hill House and Norfolk over twenty years ago. The area is full of amazing things to do and places to explore and we wanted to find the perfect base to explore them from.

We restored Hill House using traditional methods and added everything you expect from modern luxury. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

"Hill House is just amazing. From booking all the way through to our stay, staff were always on hand to answer any questions. Staff were a massive help sorting out the rooms for everyone's needs. The head house keeper was on hand on our arrival and showed us around and told us everything we needed to know.
Our stay was fantastic, we enjoyed the hot tub, tennis court and of course the great games room which the kids were always in. We had a catering company come in on our second night and they had all the facilities they needed to make an amazing meal for us. I cooked a huge breakfast in the same kitchen the next day which has enough space for plating up and cooking at the same time. All in all we had an amazing time and would definitely stay again." October 2024

"We had the most amazing weekend at Hill house. This is now our second stay and we can’t wait to come back again and again. The house is beautiful and is fully equipped to meet everyone’s needs, from the games room to the tennis courts and the new addition to our stay this time is the hot tub.We loved it all. Fully equipped kitchen, beautiful looked after rooms, the snug, the outside area. We had fish and chips served at our door on Friday night which I must say we all said how great they are and caters on Saturday night. The food was amazing and for 20 guests that like nice food we could not fault it. We had left overs on the Sunday and enjoyed it just as much. I wanted to say a big thank you to Tara as from the start she was amazing and so accommodating and made our visit very special. She took the stress out of arranging a trip for 20 people and all the needs they had. We can’t wait to come back." June 2024

"The house is absolutely stunning with so much history and character. Hill house has it all. From relaxing in the jacuzzi to playing tennis on the beautiful court, you will not be disappointed after booking your trip. The location is perfect. I would absolutely recommend." June 2024
