We found the communication with the office was very good, but with the person dealing with us as manager of the property it was very poor.
We followed all the instructions for checking in, text and phone to the property manager. Tried to phone her several times to tell her we were waiting at the door but got no reply. She then arrived.
The initial visual impression of the apartment was very good, however, when we opened the door, there is a very, very strong unpleasant smell of damp The bedroom was very damp. It should’ve been aired before our arrival. The property manager indicated that there had been a flood a few weeks before. We were not warned of this.
There were no toiletries at all. No basic starter pack of anything in the kitchen. No dishcloths, tea towel or anything to wipe surfaces.
We called the property manager who indicated the toiletries should’ve been there. She advised that she would be back with toiletries, within an hour. After several phone calls, nearly 3 hours later, she came back with a complimentary box of toiletries.
When checking out we messaged and phoned the property manager several times to ask for the check out procedure but received no reply and the phone was not answered. We contacted the office who responded immediately and were very extremely helpful.
we spent the whole week with the windows open airing the apartment substantially reducing the smell of damp.
Its a great little apartment if you sort out the damp
