About this property

Delaware Bay Front Property- for naure enthusiasts and family time

Bayfront cottage with private beach access and amazing water views!
We are located in a unique neighborhood on the Delaware Bay. The neighborhood is surrounded by wildlife refuge.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms- a large primary with a queen; and 2 smaller bedrooms- one with a bunk bed (2-twins, top bunk has a 175 pound weight limit), and a third bedroom with a daybed that can be pulled out to make a king. The cottage has a full bathroom; powder room and outdoor shower. This is great for multiple guests- adults love the outdoor shower-and no lines for the bathroom. The 2 indoor living spaces and kitchen have water views. Enjoy the view from our outdoor deck and fishing pier. Walk the beach during low tide, discover hidden coves, see eagles, go fishing and and crabbing.
The house is centrally postitioned between Stone Harbor, Wildwood and Cape May beaches. Explore Bellplaine State Park and the areas numerous bike and hiking trails. There are several farm stands along Route 47 and in the vicinity. We are located near several grocery stores.

Home rental is ideal for families concerned with food allergies or dietary restrictions. We recognize the importance of dietary control. Our kitchen is stocked with spices, condiments and appliances. We provide paper towels, trash bags, propane for grilling, cleaning supplies.

Our neighbors are great and helpful. This is a family oriented neighborhood. If you have children, they will have playmates. There are migratory birds; winery/brewery and distillery tours; different festivals featuring art, music, craft beer and foods. From our home- easy to visit multiple attractions in a day. Enjoy sunsets with a favorite beverage.

Additional bonuses: gas grill; Cable/Wifi and window air conditioning units; 2 car parking. Most importantly- Outdoor living! We provide outdoor seating/umbrella shade/lounge. We added solar string lights and herb plantings- I want you to realize this is a special home. If you rent my HOME- I want you to be happy.

You can bring your personal equipment- kayaks and launch from the bayfront deck area. Low tide is perfect for young children or long beach walks. Photographers will not be disappointed.

This area is famous for multiple Bird species(shore birds/ospreys/eagles and hawks) and horseshoe crabs. At any time, you can see Manta rays/dolphins and turtles. Bring a crab trap and catch fresh seafood.

I love the peaceful sounds of the waves; coupled with amazing water views. Bring your book and tune out This is the perfect retreat for meditation/yoga seekers or anyone looking to forget everyday pressures.

The location is inspiring for artists, photographers and writers. Create family memories. This cottage is so special you will only be disappointed that you did not extend your stay.

We encourage questions- especially if you are not familiar with the area. We do not provide linens/towels. This is due to turn around cleaning. We do provide blankets, towels, no pets, and we only rent through the site. Thank You Julie and Lincoln

Comfortable and Quiet with an Amazing Bayside View

Our family has been going to the Cape May area for years and typically stay oceanside. This year we decided to find a location bayside and this house was a perfect choice! Its easy to find and very comfortable. The area was quiet but not far from beaches, restaurants and attractions. Sitting outside on the deck and pier listening to the waves and watching the sun/moon was just perfectly relaxing. Our host was easy to connect with throughout the booking process as well as leading up to and during our stay. I could not have asked for better communication!

Amazing beach cottage right on the water!

We just returned home from an amazing stay at this quiet cottage on the bay. With three bedrooms, this was the perfect beach house for our family of five. We enjoyed swimming, bird watching, and shell hunting directly in our "backyard." The home was on a secluded and quiet street, yet was still within 15-20 minutes of restaurants, ocean beaches, wineries, and the boardwalk. The home was nicely decorated and well-appointed with all the comforts of home and the outdoor shower was a nice touch. Lincoln and Julie were always very quick to respond (even after 11 pm at night when I couldn't figure out the lock!) and were always willing to take the time to answer my many questions. Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your little oasis!

Paradise

This was a magical vacation for our family of 4 with two toddler boys. It encompassed the best of all worlds- the serene deck to drink a glass of wine and relax, while the kids played in the sand, on the dock, and baby pool we set up on the deck for hours. It is also close enough to the Wildwood boardwalk to get the kids out for rides and junk food, and also close enough to spend a few days on the beautiful Cape May beach. We are typically a "go out to dinner while on vacation" family, but we enjoyed being at the house so much that we ordered in and cooked more than planned. Lincoln was absolutely fabulous and so responsive, and the neighbors on both sides are extremely kind and helpful. We will definitely be back for as long as they let us return :)

magical hidden gem on the bay

Where do I start? The place is magical. Fully stocked kitchen appliances and most spices since they encourage sharing and a leave behind for the community motto. They even have a coffee grinder for fresh coffee. and a blender This place had everything. Then after you walk through the gorgeous property that has been updated you look outside to an endless bay and view. Nightly we ate outside, watching the terrapins breathe, the egrets snack and the waves soothe our souls. Some of the best sunsets and lightning show we have ever scene. Only about a 20 min drive to Wildwood or Stone Harbor. I also recommend stopping by Matthews Seafood and cook fresh fish on their grill. DO NOT PASS GO on this PROPERTY.

Something Special-Best House and Hosts on the Jersey Coast!

I have been going to Cape May for forty years and my husband has been going for fifty.. This is by far the most beautiful house with the most caring hosts of any of the many places we have stayed. The love and care put into this house and the care for their guests is obvious in the way the hosts have tried to anticipate any need their guests could possibly have. The work they put into the welcome book alone! Then there was the careful and instructive labeling of everything( so interesting to see how high the water came up in Hurricane Sandy) the incredible professional kitchen and the amazing spice cabinet, the beautiful decor, artwork and lighting, the gorgeous sunsets and amazing views from the extremely comfortable deck that is right on the bay,. I could go on and on.. This house and its hosts are something very special. Any question or problem we had was immediately answered and addressed in such a friendly, personal manner. This peaceful, beautiful little piece of heaven was a wonderful place to be together with family and refresh the soul. I give it the highest possible recommendation!

a delightful house for a happy vacation

The location of this house directly on the bay, watching tides come and go with birds on land and water, made the vacation just about perfect. The sunsets were always beautiful and cannot be duplicated anywhere else in New Jersey.

Peaceful home and beautiful Bay

Lincoln was communicative, genuinely concerned with creating solutions for an initial conflict of the cleaning person not showing up, and responsive host. Some highlights: 1.The kitchen is very well stocked with nearly anything you would need to store or prepare meals 2. The neighbors are very close together, but luckily became new friends 3. The inside furniture is updated, clean and comfortable 4. Though the Bay is not ideal for swimming, the location has a lovely local feel, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, there are amazing tide pools kept which kept my kids busy for hours; beach swimming is only a 20 minute drive away 5. During high tide, it's easy to imagine you're in a house boat with nearly 180 degree ocean views 6. The extended dock served as an beautiful place to reflect, sit quietly and enjoy the ocean.

Magical place for a family

This stay exceeded all of our expectations. We knew the bay water outside the house might not be ideal for swimming BUT we didn't know how amazingly fun the pier and beach on the bay would be for all of us OR how convenient it would be to hop over to the beautiful Stone Harbor beach every day in between our activities at the house. Our first stop on the trip was Big John's bait and tackle, right down the street, to get my son's first fishing rod... we asked Big John "what can we catch?" "Sharks" he said with a grin. And we actually caught one! But only after catching fish after fish. A dad teaching his son how to fish for the first time could never have found a better place. My six year old literally just had to cast once and he'd reel in a croaker. And the crabs were jumping into these little traps we picked up. Drop it, and you'd catch a couple almost immediately. And when the tide went back down from lapping up next to the house, you have a giant beach -- you can literally walk out like 100 yards from the pier to find shells and other traces of animals! The sunsets were an amazing backdrop to eat on the pier or in the dining area that looks out through sliding glass doors. They had purchased new furniture and the living/dining area and porch all had clean, attractive and comfortable furniture. master bedroom mattress appeared to be brand new, and was quite comfortable. Two other bedrooms were fine for kids or younger folks. TV, internet, kitchenware, and other supplies you might expect were all good. And owners were very communicative and always available for our questions. There's only one thing you need to be careful about and that's laundry. There's a high iron content in the water and take the owners advice (they did tell us) seriously, it will ruin clothes if your not careful. We got more than we had hoped from this trip!

Just perfect!

I have been all over Pa and NJ as a truck driver but never heard of Pierces Point. I had received a diagnosis this year that I was shocked by and just wanted a quiet getaway with my college age kids. This place was ideal for what I needed. The house was fantastic and the views were perfect. It reminded me of the shore of 45 years ago. Just perfect!

The house is totally run down, dirty and not in livable condition.

The house is totally run down, dirty and not in livable condition. The house conditions are violating basics of healthy living, it is dangerous and poisoning. The owner takes no responsibility of any issues, simply milking the caw to get as much money as possible by providing completely falsie information online. 1. The house was not clean when we arrived. Dirty beds, dark hair everywhere, sticky surfaces, leftovers in the grill, there was dust and spider nets on all decoration. We paid huge cleaning fee. This is extremely disappointing during covid time. 2. The house has major septic issue (probably crack and leakage in the septic tank). There is distinct septic smell on both sides of the house and it comes through the window slits and door into the house. 3. The house construction is compromised and not safe for living in. The entire floor is wavy, foundation is damaged due to severe multiple flooding. None of the beds are standing straight, you cannot lay flat. 4. The quality of the well water in a house is very bad. The water has strong rust taste and orange color. Cannot be used for any cooking or drinking. Smells bad even when taking shower. Any washed clothing gets orange stain that doesn’t come off at all. 5. The house is in the flooding zone and the entire area around the entrance and driveway gets flooded each time when there is high tide or heavy rain to the point we could not get out of the house several times. The owner’s answer was totally shocking to us, he said that we were very lucky, because the previous renter of his house could not get out of the house for several days due to flooding. 6. Along with fecal there is mold smell in a house due to frequent flooding. 7. The small bathroom sink is clogged. 8. The air conditioner in a small bedroom is not sealed properly and water leaks inside of the room each time when raining. 9. One bedroom is for 2 people, two other bedrooms are extra small - closet size and can only fit one-person bed each. The maximum house capacity is 4 people, not 6 as advertised. 10. The kitchen: pods and pens are very worn off, burned and look unclean. 11. The house has a bay waterfront, but not the beach. The water on the bay is very muddy, swampy, dark green. The closest beach is 20 min drive away. Please note that Vrbo/ HomeAway takes no responsibility for any information provided on their web site. They will not assist you with the owner, reallocation or refunds of the fees.

This house was amazing! It was so much more then it was described as. The sunsets were stunning and we loved being right on the water. The house has everything you could ever need. Overall the trip was amazing and we enjoyed our time here. Lots of fun things nearby in Cap May also: kayaking, hiking, Sunset Beach, Cape May Lighthouse, and some shopping/dining COVID style.
