We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. We enjoyed every minute!! Just like being in this area as a kid!! Easy to find and close to town and places to eat if we needed anything… and the owner was wonderful and was there if we needed anything. We sure to be back!!
We spent a week at the cottage and enjoyed meeting Janel and Dan. Janel was very responsive and helped with suggestions for things to do in the area. Moose Lake and Sturgeon Lake are nice areas. We also visited Duluth and Superior to watch the ships and went to the North Shore and area state parks to hike. The cottage is as you see on the listing, nice and cozy. It is very clean and has lots to do. I did have cell service (Verizon). The kayaks are a great bonus. We used the deck daily for dining and relaxing. The cottage is filled with decades of collectibles. It is a typical family cottage that has been loved and used for decades. If you expect new and updated, look elsewhere. We enjoyed our week.
We had a great time playing in the water and fishing. Ventured to Jay Cooke for a little hiking one day and Duluth another. Host was friendly and helpful.
The Cozy Cottage was a wonderful and relaxing place to stay. It was very clean and well kept. The check in process was easy and the host (Janel) was so nice, responsive, and helpful. The house is on the lake and there are kayaks and a paddle boat, in addition to a sitting area and a fire pit right on the shore. There is no wifi and cell service was spotty--FYI. The cottage is also near hiking trails and parks. Moose Lake has a nice brewery and places to eat, but Duluth is close by too and easy to drive up. I highly recommend AND hope to visit again.
This is our 2nd stay here. The property managers are very nice and respond promptly to any questions. The location is convenient for getting to trails and a quiet neighborhood.
Family of 4 had a great weekend! We loved the lake, docks, kayak, fire pit, deck, trees, Moose Lake, and comfy beds. We wished for AC (high was a rare 99F!), but it normally wouldn't have been a problem. Thanks for the fun!
This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Close enough to town for essentials but far enough away to escape "city life". Nice kayaks and paddleboat to enjoy the lake. Great, responsive owners. A+
This is a lovely cabin, in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts are quick to respond to any questions or concerns. We had a really relaxing and comfortable time. We stayed indoors a couple of high smoke days and still enjoyed our time there. Will definitely go back!
Wonderful little property with a warm ans welcoming feeling. Cabin was clean and tidy ( and adorable )! Hosts of cabin were extremely nice 🙂. Overall wonderful experience and stay.
This place was perfect for myself and my 6 year old twins. We enjoyed paddle boating to the sandbar, learning how to kayak, catching decent sized sun fish from the dock, s’mores by the lake, There was plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, fans, kitchen supplies etc. There’s a lot to do around the cabin as well. There’s a bowling alley near by and we also enjoyed Moose Lake Brewery, biking to/on the Munger Trail, agate picking at the 3 local pits and visited Moose Lake State Park! The hosts were kind and responsive. We will definitely be back! The only thing we’d do differently is plan ahead to rent one of the boats at the resort on the lake for the day.
The size and accommodations are accurately represented in the description: one queen, one full, two couches. What is hard to convey is that it is the cleanest, most comfortable, most homey place you could find for the money. The lake and ammenities are fantastic, the location is idyllic, the owners are perfectly accommodating and thoughtful. It is quiet and gorgeous. You imagine the perfect cabin-style setting when looking through Vrbo: this is it.
We were in town for a wedding and needed a place. This small basic cabin worked great for what we needed with the added convenience of having our own space and kitchen. We didn't get to use the lake due to weather and family events but it looked great too. We would definitely stay again!
This is like a time capsule taking you back to your family’s cabin in the 80’s- in the best possible way! It’s stocked with all of the necessities and then some- everything you might need is here including sand toys, life jackets, kayaks, a paddleboat, firewood…it’s a lovely, very clean place located on a lovely lake. Perfect size for our family of 4. We hope to be back!!
We loved the cozy cabin and the wonderful time on the lake. The kids loved using the kayaks, getting rides on the paddleboat, and creating in the sand on the beach.
We enjoyed the campfire, the beautiful view off the deck, reading at the beach, and watching some fun old movies at night.
Janel was a great host, great communication. Highly recommended!
This is a lovely cabin, a perfect distraction for my friend whose husband was out of the country for a month. I have stayed here once before and will be back in a month for a family reunion in the area. Many mosquitoes this year, but we were still able to spend time outside. The hosts are lovely and available to answer questions or help with anything you may need.
I think this was our 4th or 5th time here. We always enjoy the lake and the beautiful view. The cabin is older but well equipped. Thanks for sharing your beautiful spot !
The cabin was quaint and rustic, but everything we needed and more for our family to enjoy. The sandy lake shore was perfect for our 2 1/2 year old to play and enjoy the water. The availability of a fire pit to be able to enjoy a night around the fire and some marshmallow roasting as well as a gas grill. The paddle boat, kayaks and such were also a great part of getting rest and some time in the out doors.
