The property is situated in a lovely, peaceful spot. On Friday night when we arrived, sat having drinks in the garden we were lucky enough to see a mother deer and her fawn skipping up the fields behind us. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed, large spacious bedrooms and a lovely hot tub. We had lunch in the dog and gun pub just up the road and the food was delicious. We then called at the Lamb just over the road for a quick drink before going back to enjoy the house. The host (Karen) was so helpful, she was easy to contact and got back to me with any questions I had and sent us a list of restaurants and takeaways which we used on the Friday night. I would definitely recommend this place!
Booked this house for 2 nights for 4 adults and 9 children of varying ages including 3 babies. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. We were unlucky with the weather and so we were inside a fair bit. We did spend some time in central park. We ate at the Dog and Gun and the staff there were so lovely and accommodating. The food was lovely. The host was so helpful both before and during the trip. Communication was quick and easy and she was so accommodating and understanding. Perfect aside from the weather!
We had a great time staying at the Vestry, the house is clean with good sized rooms and comfortable beds. The hot tub was fantastic and really made the weekend for me and my friends. Karen was helpful, coming over to help reset the oven when it wasn’t turning on due to power going off. This was an easy fix but maybe worth including in the house guide.
Overall, thank you for a fantastic weekend and would definitely stay again!
Just come back from a lovely weekend, what a beautiful house! Everything was spotlessly clean, the kitchen facilities were great although we didn’t really do much cooking. Bedrooms were beautifully decorated and the beds very comfortable. Garden was brilliant for the dogs as there was a gate at the top of the drive you could close off so they couldn’t get out. Would say very small dogs could possibly squeeze through the bottom but we just put something up against it to stop this and kept an eye on them at all times. The hot tub was a fantastic addition which the kids (and adults) loved. The surrounding area is lovely, we had a walk around the small reservoir nearby. There’s are also 2 pubs in walking distance but we didn’t end up having time to try these. Karen was easy to reach and answered all questions I had before and during our stay. Overall everyone said what a fantastic weekend it had been so thank you very much and hopefully we’ll be back again soon.
Stayed here for our annual weekend get together and had a brilliant time in The Vestry despite the wind and snow. The house is beautiful with everything you need and Karen is a very helpful and friendly host. Thanks again.
We stayed at the Vestry as party of 9, for my brother-in-law's 60th birthday. The house is spacious, warm and cosy and enjoyed the outside hot-tub. Location Is an excellent base to explore the surrounding Yorkshire scenery and within easy walking distance to Howarth with local pubs and places to eat. We would be happy to visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break.
11 of us stayed for the weekend and had such a great time. Gorgeous house with fab garden and hot tub a bonus. Lovely area with nice Sunday pub lunch. Host (Karen) just lovely to deal with. Thanks for a great stay 😊
The property was ideal for what we wanted, plenty of space for everyone and a big downstairs area for eating, lounging for us all to gather.
Lovely outdoor area with hot-tub, bbq etc Ideal for early morning coffee or eating & drinking in the evening!
The Vestry had everything and more that our party of 12 needed. Lots of comfortable beds and nice places to sit and relax. The surrounding area was lovely. Nice view from the garden, lovely walk around the reservoir and delicious food at the local pub. Karen was an excellent host, even gave us access to the property early as it had been empty the day before. Thank you so much for having us.
We had a wonderful family short stay at the vestry. Locally there are pubs and convenience stores and a short drive into Haworth you will find restaurants and tea rooms although we did have limitations with the youngest member of our crew only being 2. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the garden space is plenty to have fun playing game's.
Very spacious house with comfortable bedrooms and living areas. Fully equipped kitchen and secure garden with table and chairs and a seating area. Charcoal bbq (a little small for the potential numbers of guests). Also a hot tub which proved a great hit, Pub within walking distance and other attractions easily reached by car
