Let's tour Islander Condo #601. This is a newly renovated Platinum end unit which offers an East View and sleeps up to 6 people. Step into our tropical paradise conveniently located for quick and easy access to the beach or pools and hot tub.

The updated kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances for all your cooking needs and is the perfect place to cook a dinner. All the cookware and dinnerware you need is already there so all you need is your catch of the day. Gather around the dining room table that seats 4 with additional seating at the kitchen bar.

Relax in the living area to watch the 55” Smart TV with digital cable access and a DVD player. One of the sofas offers a queen sleeper sofa available for guests.

The master bedroom boasts a king size bed, and a 43" Smart TV and DVD combo. The guest bedroom has twin beds and a 32” Smart TV with a DVD player. Both the master and the guest bathroom feature combination tub/shower with a vanity.

There is updated tile and decor throughout the condo. The pool is conveniently located just steps away from Destin's Beach.

From your own private balcony, enjoy this magnificent view of 1 of the TOP 10 Most Beautiful Beaches in The World. From your patio you can enjoy a full beach view with lots of activity, parasailing, fishermen, paddle surfers, swimmers, and if you are lucky maybe even some dolphins.

Guests have initial set up of paper towels/toiletry/trash bags. Guests will need to provide their own for the remainder of the stay once depleted.

Short title

Check in process very simple. Enjoyed staying on a property that had staff available 24 hours. This came in handy when we managed to lock ourselves out on the back balcony.

overall experience awesome, unit clean, only issue i had was low shower pressure, water still came out so no worries on that, beautiful view, sun never hit our balcony. was shaded all day, air con worked great, new keys and codes worked awesome, kitchen had everything and more. absolutely will stay there again. thank you for a great experience

Great getaway

My families stay there was wonderful! There is plenty to do and the staff is very helpful, there is someone at the front desk from 7am to 11pm. There are two pools, and of course beach access. There are chair set up daily from 8am-530pm, including umbrellas! So that’s another thing you don’t have to worry about. The property was very clean, my only complaint was that one of the elevators was out every night of our stay which lead to longer wait times. There were plenty of chairs at the pools and the beach so there was always a set available. The apartment itself was clean and spacious for our family of 4! The views from 601 were outstanding! It was a wonderful stay!

Family vacation

We had a great vacation. Perfect view of the fireworks from Harborwalk and on the 4th. The location is great too. Not too far from anything. The condo itself was just as pictured. We really did enjoy our stay.

Beach Vacation

We enjoyed our beach vacation. The view is amazing. We saw dolphins from the balcony and sting rays off the beach in the early morning. Beach access is great with the chairs and umbrellas it’s good to still bring some chairs as they take them down around 5:30pm. Wi-Fi even worked on the beach! We also enjoyed evening walks to the west harbor to see the beautiful sun sets. There was some sand on the floors and balcony upon arrival and the A/C smelled a little musty. But overall a great place.

Review of Cindy's property

Overall it was a nice stay. We have two suggestions: The master bedroom bed creeks and pings - metallic clunking noises. We are not large people so this should not have been an issue. The head of the bed is almost as if it is tilted towards the headboard and the foot area is higher than the other end of the mattress. The boogie boards and sand buckets and such were in the hall closet, not with the other beach items - the cart and the float. We didn't use any of it, but we would have used the boogie boards had we known they were there. Overall, lovely place, noise from neighbors was not an issue - very nice - and everything worked well. The sliding glass door in the back was very difficult to lock when we were leaving... you have to lift it up to lock it. (Just a sidenote). Thank you for your accommodations and for hosting. We really liked the ease of checkin and out, access to the beach, the umbrella and chairs at the beach every day, although were annoyed by some who had their towels on the chairs, but never showed up (not your fault). The place was very clean which we greatly appreciated. The water pressure could be better. We would probably use less water if the water pressure was stronger (building issue). Thanks again!

Wonderful Stay

Everything was great for our family of 4. Amazing views and we saw dolphins right from the balcony. Very short walk to the beach with reserved umbrellas. We absolutely loved our time here and would definitely stay here again.

Check in was very easy I was an hr early but I got a pass to go to the pool and beach they got me right in at 3. My room was absolutely amazing the view was perfect. My only complaint would be the towel rack. The day before I left I hung a wet towel up and the whole thing fell out of the wall. I was promised I wouldn’t be charged for it and they honored that. I would definitely recommend staying at the islander!

condo 601 disappointing

Reviewer Comments: This is my 4th stay at islander 601 was not as good as my previous stays very outdated master shower liner was dirty the twin mattresses were not comfortable. The kitchen had an odor couldn't figure it out until the last day when I opened the dishwasher there was stagnant water in the bottom of it. There was not many pots the few they had were not good. the stove was the old electric coil top.

Room 601 Not Good :(

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have loved the Islander for many many years, 35/38 years (literally) to be exact! But I do believe we have worn out our welcome. Room 601 does not offer much, it’s dirty, the couch is disgusting, rusted shower curtain rods, rusted toilet paper holders, the toilet paper, I mean really can you step it up one notch at least?? kitchen utensils..flimsy, if there at all. The knives are a joke, good luck cutting anything! I know you are probably thinking wow can you be more picky?!? But come on we spend a lot of money year after year! Not just on 1 room but there is typically at least 4-5 rooms in our group if not more. Last year our friends stayed in this room and keptGetting locked out on the balcony. Do you know how they fixed the problem?? Just removed the lock from the door. WHAT?? I don’t need the lock that’s for sure but that’s not right. We pay $3300 and for that I expect things to be very clean, in working order and up to date. The dishwasher wouldn’t drain and was full of water 2 times, and stinks. The closets are full of ****, 1/2 of the master closet is locked and unusable. The 2nd bedroom “twin” beds seem extra small? The throw pillows are absolutely disgusting, so dirty I was going to replace and leave new ones as a gift but ran out of time. We found old grapes Uber the couch and chair, gross. Old Cracker wrappers under the end table. The elevators are hot and dirty, always. The walls by the elevators are disgustingly dirty!! Last year our room was so bad that they gave us more than 1/2 our money back I am not a complainer and I so want to continue to stay at the Islander it truly has been a family favorite for years and years. But I will not continue to pay this much money for something that is less than par. If you want to charge half the price then great I would expect the rooms as they are. Parking was simple. No complaints. Actually one. The trash bags lol! They were real cheap. Maybe some nice ones that can hold up and better toilet paper. That’s it though. I mean we did bring our own just in case but that’s just a suggestion. We definitely would love to come back to this rental.

Very nice resort

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit’s balcony, #601, was shady every day which made it pleasant to sit out and enjoy a cocktail. No problems except the living room furniture was lumpy and uncomfortable. However, this unit is being sold so hopefully the new owners will upgrade the loveseat, sofa and chair. Resort staff was very friendly. I do think the $50 “accidental” non refundable charge is a rip off.
