High Butterbent Cottage is a lovely 3-bedroom cottage that benefits from a lovely quiet location and superb views as far as Morecambe Bay on a clear day!
With plenty of outdoor space, the cottage is ideal for families or friends who are looking for a central location from which to explore the Lakes or the Yorkshire Dales. There is private parking for 3 cars. If you have bicycles, these can be securely stored for you. A coal/wood BBQ is available for guests to use if required.
Overall the property is furnished to a high standard, and the open fire is fantastic in the colder months, especially after a day out exploring. Alternatively, gather in the open plan kitchen and dining area to plan the next days' activities.
Accommodation Summary
Ground Floor: Living room: With open fire, TV, DVD player and CD player. Kitchen and dining room: With electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and patio doors leading to the garden area. Shower room: With shower cubicle, heater towel rail, basin and toiletFirst Floor: Bedroom 1: With double bed. Bedroom 2: With twin beds. Bedroom 3: With twin beds. Shower room: With shower cubicle, heater towel rail, basin and toilet.
Things to Note
Hand towels and bath mats are provided, however, bath towels aren't, so please bring these with you. A travel cot, highchair, baby bath and a stair gate are available on request. A utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer (shared) is available if required. Garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Bike store. The property has a natural water supply from a spring, which is filtered and safe for drinking and cooking. A starter supply of wood is provided for the fire in the colder months October to March. Outside these months, wood can be added for an additional £30.00 per week.

High Butterbent Cottage is situated in the village of New Hutton at the end of a private track, and it is easily accessed from the M6 motorway. The central location makes it an ideal base from which to visit popular locations such as Windermere, Kendal and further afield to the Yorkshire Dales! The Market Town of Kendal is just 3 miles away. The family-friendly Station Inn, which offers great food and real ales plus it has a great outdoor seating area with children's play area - 2 miles Oxenholme Train Station (West Coast Main Line) - 2.1 miles Sedbergh & Yorkshire Dales - 8.5 miles Windermere - 11.5 miles Kirkby Lonsdale - 10.5 miles
