About this property
The Granary - Beautiful Homely Farm Cottage
Summary:
The Granary cottage gets it name from being attached to Boswell’s historic pillared banked barn, draped in wisteria when in bloom it is certainly a spectacle. Head inside the cottage and you will open the door into the spacious kitchen dining area with all the equipment you need to make an evening meal for the family or simply a picnic to take with you whilst off exploring.
Before heading upstairs The Granary boasts a large living space with nice snuggly sofas to really unwind after a long day. Then upstairs is split into 3 main rooms the master suite, family bathroom and a triple room with its own en-suite.
Although the Granary does not have its own garden many of our guests enjoy sitting in the court to which the front door opens out into.
The Space:
We have a variety of cottages ranging from sleeping 2 to 6 people. Cottages can be rented for a week or more during peak periods. Off peak we accept a minimum 2 night stay all prices are inclusive of bed linen, towels and heating. Kitchens are fully equipped, some with dishwashers and washing machines. A laundry is provided for use by all guests, irons, ironing boards, washing machine, and drier.
Boswell Farm is set in 50 acres with its very own fishing lake, tennis court and studio. With 5 cottages on the farm we can cater for larger groups. A short distance from the Jurassic coast and in an area of outstanding natural beauty Boswell is certainly a unique property
Guest Access:
All of our cottages have their own entrance, upon arrival you will find a key in the door for self-check in we have a large car park in behind barn please use this and not outside the main house.
The Neighborhood:
Fancy venturing off site? Sidmouth and its surrounding area has so much to offer the Jurassic is great for walkers and boasts some beautiful beach’s, perfect for a day relaxing on the beach. Why not dip your feet in the sea or even hire a Paddleboard after all this you can choose from one of Sidmouth’s lovely restaurants.
There is plenty to do here at Boswell with an all year-round tennis court, table tennis, small trout fishing lake, children’s play area and breath taking views across valley.
Getting Around:
To make the most of Boswell's and Sidmouth's natural beauty we recommend either walking or cycling that said most places can still be access by car.
Interaction with Guests:
Our cottages are set around a central courtyard near the family home we have 3 friendly dog who are likely to come and introduce themselves for a tummy rub. Please note Boswell is still a working farm so don't be surprised to hear the local cattle in surrounding fields. We are here if you need us but will not intrude on you vacation.
