About this property
Dowie House Steading
Dowie House Steading is a beautifully converted farmstead, and comfortably sleeps 4 adults in 2 double bedrooms.. All on the Ground Floor:
Living/dining room: Freeview TV, Woodburner, French Doors Leading To Garden
Kitchen: Breakfast Bar, Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Bedroom 2: Zip And Link 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet, Grab Rail. Oil underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request.. Garden with sitting-out area (shared with owner). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a covered pond in the garden.. You may be surprised at how far from civilisation you feel when you visit Dowie House Steading, then you remember you’re right on the A1 north and south and have the activities and attractions of Northumberland and the North East, the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh which are all within relatively easy reach. Surrounded by farmland and neighbouring the sand dunes and some of those long blonde sandy beaches that the area is famed for, you find an old farm steading with an ideal holiday home within.
The very well-proportioned accommodation includes a large open-plan living/dining room with a wood burner for those cold evenings and an arched window and door leading to the gardens and decking area. The kitchen is well-equipped and has the modern appliances included that you would expect to find in any good holiday rental - microwave, dishwasher, coffee grinder, just enough to make things that little bit easier. Both bedrooms are double size and attractively finished. One of the rooms has a kingsize bed and the other can be set as either a single bed with a pull-out bed underneath, or a superking sized bed. The bathroom was also a pleasant surprise due to the generous size and modern finish with white suite and over bath mains shower. Beach 1 mile. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
