The Chestnuts Lincolnshire holiday cottages are located on a characteristic and authentic farm offering high quality self-catering holiday accommodation, with private fishing lakes.

The Chestnuts nestled within idyllic countryside provide the ideal base from which to explore the hustle and bustle of the East Coast and unspoilt Lincolnshire Wolds.

However, many of our guests choose to spend their days by our fishing lakes or just relaxing on the farm, where the children have ample space to play and are always welcome to feed the animals; pigs, chickens, donkeys, rabbits and ducks etc. A short walk to the village of Burgh le Marsh presents a wealth of amenities such as good pubs, restaurants and shops.

At The Chestnuts holiday cottages you can expect a warm welcome and a holiday with a difference on a real Lincolnshire farm.

Cosy peaceful last minute break

Cottage was a good size, lovely and warm, peaceful and well equipped. It was easy to walk into the village for food and close to both the seaside and the Lincolnshire Wolds. We enjoyed seeing the farm animals, especially the close encounters with Rosie the goat. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic extended weekend stay and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Our cottage was beautiful with all of the home comforts we could wish for. The beds were super comfortable, the accessible shower room perfect for my use and the kitchen well equipped. Our beds were made up on arrival, towels, soap and washing up materials were provided along with a basket containing sachets of tea, coffee and sugar which made it east to make a hot drink before starting to unpack. Having a porch area meant that we didn’t bring outdoor items inside.

Brilliant holiday shame about the weather

Accommodation faultless with friendly owners, even free range eggs fresh from the hen Fishing slow but did catch a few, the lake was not easily fished for a disabled person but a solution was offered and taken up Highly recommend for a family holiday with the added extra fishing a bonus No children with us this time but the animals and countryside trail look an ideal holiday for a family

Absolutely well catered for, relaxing and lovely setting for brilliant family holiday.

This is our second time time of staying in Burr and Conker cottages with our young grandchildren and we really appreciated the secure garden enclosure but still having open gate to the two cottages allowing the children the freedom and safety to move between the two. We enjoyed visiting the animals and saying hello to Lola. The children enjoyed the playground, we loved the peaceful surroundings at the end of a busy day at the seaside. Cottages lacked nothing, will be booking again for next year.

Relaxing

Managed to de-stress and catch up on sleep and improve one's health. Gave my wife, (post surgery), and I a chance to recuperate. Only let down is there is no direct access to the cottage by car, (being able to reverse in up to the front door), leaving one with a bad back to haul suitcases and heavy baggage across the shingle courtyard. Poor disabled access.
