About this property
Old Stables, Mews or Gamekeeper
Converted from the Old Stables, this aptly named cottage has been beautifully refurbished whilst retaining many of its original features. The perfect holiday cottage for your family holiday in Bude.
The studded front door leads into an open plan kitchen, dining area, and lounge which has wonderful views of the Glebe House gardens and Bude countryside.
Old Stables has two bedrooms and is suitable for up to 4 people. Perfect for small families or groups of friends.
The living room is equipped with a flat-screen TV with Freeview, a DVD player, DAB radio/CD/iPod dock and two comfortable two-seater leather suites.
Each cottage has its own internet router to provide a strong WiFi connection.
The new kitchen in Old Stables cottage is fully equipped with all you should need including, a double oven and grill, electric hob with extractor, microwave, fridge, separate freezer, and dishwasher.
The main bedroom has a king-size bed and has been newly furnished with solid oak furniture. The twin room has views of the rolling local countryside through its stone mullion windows. Both bedrooms have room for a cot if required.
The new modern bathroom has a bath with combined shower, basin vanity unit suite, heated mirror and heated towel rail.
Outside Old Stables has access to a wonderful area outside which is a great place to sit and take in the views of St Bridget’s Church.
We offer seven beautiful 19th Century buildings situated in the stunning Devon / Cornwall border countryside. They have retained their original features including their stone walls, wooden beams, and studded doors as well as having all the necessary modern conveniences such as wifi connection, Alexa Music Players and Smart TV’s.
The cottages have very recently been refurbished so that you can relax in style and comfort. All our cottages have been fitted with new super-soft mattresses, high pressure showers and solid oak furniture throughout to give our guests a true luxury retreat.
Sarah, Jay, Nick and Polly live on site and are always happy to help create your perfect holiday in an unobtrusive manner, whether that’s setting up games in the garden for children or serving drinks by the pool. Nothing is too much trouble.
There are plenty facilities on site to keep the whole family entertained including dogs*, such as the heated outdoor pool and games room. For children, we have a brand-new activity trim trail as well as a trampoline, swings & slide and plenty of garden games. Adults can relax in the formal gardens with the variety of a flower garden, herb garden, beech circle, woodland walk and vegetable patch.
There is plenty to see and do around Glebe House cottages, whether you are looking for a sandy beach to spend a day with the family, or to find the perfect surf conditions and other water sports, or if you want to go on a walk to experience truly inspirational wildlife, geology and scenery. The North Devon & Cornwall coastline is full of variety, with some fabulous beaches, fascinating rock formations all of them linked by the South West Coast Path including: Bude, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, Boscastle, and Hartland Quay and Clovelly.
*Please note we charge £25.00 per dog per stay.
