A great place to stay - food great and staff very friendly

We wanted somewhere to stay with a small dog - this was perfect as booked one of the small cottages - having own front door made this really easy. Also as a dog friendly pub, we had the option to eat there or walk into town. The staff were very professional but still friendly.

Very large comfortable room at a decent price

We during a Christmas spent with family and everything worked very well. I'd definitely recommend getting a chalet at the back of the pub rather than staying in the pub itself as the rooms are smaller and noisier. Very spacious room with a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Good breakfast too.

A really nice and pleasant place to saty.

We liked a lot about our stay, firstly upon booking in the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms for us were surprisingly large, clean and airey fantastic king-size bed . The breakfast is exactly what you'd want plenty of selection. We stayed in one of the cottages and the parking was directly outside and as they are slightly away from the main building you don't disturb anyone if you arrive late .To be honest this is going to be our first choice the next time we stay in Rye.

Incredibly helpful staff make your stay special

We stayed in a family room for 4, for 1 night. The room was incredibly clean and tidy, beds were very comfortable, and everything was spacious & clean. You can park outside your room, and there was very little noise from either traffic or neighbouring rooms. Staff at the hotel were exceptional. Before we arrived they went out of their way to help with booking a local taxi. And then the next morning we needed to leave early for the airport& staff gave us coffee and pastries and were so kind.

Another great stay at The Kings Head

Comfortable room, superb breakfasts, accommodating staff. Nothing to dislike. When there are some minor issues, the staff respond quickly and effectively. Only minor issues were that the room wasn't vacuumed one day, which was promptly rectified when we raised; and a storm caused the power to trip so we didn't have hot water. Pub didn't realise this but when we raised again, it was rectified promptly.
