About this property

Cottage 1 | Pine Tree Lodge Bridgnorth

The largest of our cottages, this ‘shabby chic’ style, self-contained retreat features a fully fitted kitchen/diner, a king-size bedroom, a spacious living room, and a large landing area with a single day bed.

Cottage 1 is a prime example of transformative design, turning a simple garage and workshop into a charming 1-bedroom cottage. This lovingly reimagined space offers cozy accommodation with warmth and character at every turn.

Upon entering Cottage 1, you’ll be welcomed by a charming stable door leading into a cozy hallway (equipped with hooks for coats and a shoe area). From there, descend into a quaint, cottage-style kitchen with a dining area, ideal for enjoying meals together.

Next, pass through an inviting archway into the cozy lounge area, where double doors open onto a sunny rear paved terrace – perfect for relaxation and basking in daylight.

Upstairs, the bedroom offers picturesque views of the countryside. Furnished with a comfortable king-size bed, ample wardrobe space, and plenty of drawer storage, it ensures convenience and comfort. The adjacent landing area features a day bed (or a sofa bed alternative is available in the lounge) for one additional guest, and a newly refurbished bathroom with a luxurious walk-in shower completes the space.

Outside, there’s parking available for two cars, as well as an additional paved terrace that captures the evening sun, providing an idyllic setting for unwinding with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. As well as easy access to mown pathway through wild flower paddock.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome for an additional £5 per night per pet, but must stay off furniture, remain downstairs, and not be left unattended. There is also an additional £15 laundry fee if sofa bed bedding is required. A retractable washing line is also available.

To start your holiday off right, complimentary amenities await your arrival, including a bottle of wine, along with tea, coffee, and milk to kick start your relaxation.
Three charming countryside holiday cottages, perfect for couples, explorers, and those seeking local attractions.

Explore a range of local attractions, from scenic countryside strolls and peaceful fishing spots to excellent dining and vibrant markets. Golf, cycling (with National Cycle Route 45 just 200 meters away), and nature activities abound. On Saturdays, visit Bridgnorth High Town market for local artisan products. Enjoy a stroll through our well-kept wildflower paddock for a relaxing experience.

Peaceful location yet walking distance to Bridgnorth

Having lived in Bridgnorth for many years we wanted dog friendly, self catering accommodation near to town so it was easier to catch up with friends and family. This fitted the bill perfectly. Lovely little house with enclosed garden in a beautifully peaceful location. We will definitely book again in the future.

Lovely relaxing stay - great location

Lovely cottage - very peaceful and relaxing. Nice decor, bedding was high quality and the cottage was clean. Great location, a short walk to the railway station, definitely worth a visit to the Railman’s Arms. The town was only a 10/12 minute walk. Definitely will return. Thank you.

A lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings.

Booked the accommodation knowing nothing about the area. What a lucky find. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed for our short break. It’s set in a lovely peaceful location, where all you can hear is the birds singing. Was clean, welcoming and cosy. Highly recommended

We Loved Pine Tree Lodge

A relaxing 9 nights in wonderful accommodation, would loved to have stay longer. The cottage was comfortable, cosy, so quiet, yet so close to Bridgnorth. Darren was always available if we needed assistance, he even arranged bikes for both of us, which we used to ride to Ironbridge and back.

Well presented clean and quiet location, enjoyed the experience

All you need for a desirable base to plan your day from. Clean, quiet location, close to amenities and Bridgnorth town centre but not right on top of it. Helpful owner, checked up to see if we initially settled in alright, welcome bottle of wime and tea/coffee facilities, again, all welcoming.

Personally converted with bespoke touches, our aim is to make your stay as comfortable as possible while you enjoy Bridgnorth’s attractions.

Pine Tree Lodge is run by Darren and Kate, with occasional help from their grown up children, James and Alice. They live next to the holiday cottages, ensuring they’re available for any needs to make your stay stress-free. Chrissie, the dedicated housekeeper, and her family play a crucial role in maintaining the cottages’ smooth operation. Not forgetting the welcoming committee Pops and Sock’s our two aging Paterjacks that may pop around to say hello!

Darren, a Bridgnorth native with extensive local knowledge, is an ex-rugby player who now enjoys cycling to stay fit when he’s not working on a building projects. Kate, a semi-retired GP and former horse rider, now finds her escape in golf.
