Remodeled 4 bedrooms/3.5 baths. Two large master bedrooms with cathedral ceilings and fans (each with king bed and bath), "girls" room with twin beds, 'boys' room with bunk (double bed below, can sleep 2-3). All new bedding and towels.
New kitchen with center island, Viking appliances, lots of storage and separate pantry. Fully equipped.
Large living room (with fireplace, large screen TV, cupboard full of games) and dining room (table opens to seat 12), with cathedral ceilings. 'Open' floor plan with sliding doors opening onto patio.

Annual Balboa Family Time

We loved our stay at 202 Diamond! The home is beautifully cared for and provided all the amenities you could ask for. It was the perfect place for our Annual Family Weekend with all our kids and once they all went home it was so relaxing for just the two of us to enjoy a little longer! Our favorite Vacation home!

This home has everything you could possibly need for a family vacation. Beach gear, chairs, umbrellas, towels and even a wagon to haul all the stuff. Inside the home is as beautiful as the pictures, a comfy and cozy beach house. We took advantage of the broad games and of course the jacuzzi located on the roof top. With just a short walk to the beach, restaurants and ice cream shop we will definately be returning here in the future. And of course the hosts were great! They came over to be sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Dream Home

The pictures don’t do this house justice! This home is gorgeous and comes with all the bells and whistles. The owners are great to work with and provided a personal tour upon arrival. The location is ideal right in the center of the island with easy access to Marine Ave. and Ferry. We loved the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, outdoor heat lamps and roof top area! Our family visits Balboa Island multiple times per year - this has been the best home yet! Thank you!!!

The concensus, after a glorious week, was that we have found the perfect vacation home! Communication with the landlord was great. Her stand-in welcoming committee was helpful and charming. The home is beautiful, with attention to every detail. It was the perfect week and the 5 of us can’t wait to go back!

Great house - checks every box

My wife, toddler and I stayed at 202 Diamond for 2 weeks in May 2021 and loved every minute of it. The location is ideal - half way between the shops & restaurants on Marine and the Ferry to Balboa Peninsula. The house is comfortable yet luxurious and it is stocked with everything you’d want for a beach vacation - bikes, paddle boards, beach chairs & umbrellas, coolers, etc. The house is in excellent condition and the owners are friendly and welcoming. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Gorgeous home in the perfect location

From the start, Pam and Mike were extremely welcoming and met us at the property to go over all the features/amenities (of which there are many!) and to answer any questions. The home itself is beautiful, comfortable, well appointed, and perfectly located. You are part of the charm and bustle of Balboa Island yet still tucked away enough to have a peaceful stay. This home is ideal for families wishing to explore the area but still have the luxuries of home. We cannot speak highly enough of this property, the owners, and quality of experience. We will be back!

Great Beach Vacation.

We had such a great time at this beautiful home right off the beach on Balboa Island. The home was beautiful and we loved the paddle boards and sea kayaking around the island. We would highly recommend this house and location for a family vacation.

A family-friendly "wow" house in the perfect location!

If you're lucky enough to snag a week or two at this beautiful family-friendly Balboa Island home, you won't be disappointed! We just returned from another amazing week in Newport Beach, and like always, the house can make or break our trip. Happy to say that this lovely gem was beautifully appointed with top-of-the-line everything including appliances and dishware (loved the Viking gas range!), luxurious linens, pretty island home decor, comfortable and stylish living/bedroom/dining furniture, high-end bathroom accessories (instant hot water and towel warmer, anyone?) patio furniture and grill, and outdoor beach toys. Seriously, gorgeous. Amazing kitchen. Seven of us stayed in the home (4 teens, 2 adults and 1 senior) and we all had plenty of space to spread out and do our thing. The kids loved the rooftop patio, hot tub and heater -- and they took full advantage of the kayaks, paddle boards , beach umbrellas, and chairs that were neatly stored in the extra large garage. One of our favorite spots in the house for morning coffee was the heated front patio with retractable awning. When the awning is extended, it transforms the space into a comfy private indoor/outdoor space perfect for reading or a mid-day nap. This house also has an indoor elevator which is super handy for moving luggage to the upstairs bedrooms or making it easy for seniors to avoid the stairs. The location of the property is just perfect as it is situated in between the ferry and the shops on Marine Ave -- an easy walk either way. Pam and Mike were the perfect hosts. They stopped by to say hello and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Can't say enough about this wonderful home -- we definitely will be back!

Wonderful home for large families.

We had family flying in from all over the world and needed several beds. The Howard ‘s home was perfect for our family and the college graduation barbecue we had. The house is open and the elevator was nice for the family members who had some mobility issues. We would stay again and again. On a side note, the bathrooms could have been cleaner as there was long hair in the corners of each bathroom. Also, in the second master there was nowhere to put luggage and no chair.

Magnificant Home

We travel to Balboa Island often and have stayed in several homes over the years. This home is the most elegant property we have experienced. It is very spacious and on a quiet street, centrally located to the town and the ferry. The off-street parking is a huge plus on Balboa. The home is impeccable, with two master suites, fully updated bathrooms, hardwood floors, retractable awning with built-in heaters for enjoying the front patio, smart TV and wifi, and an elevator to all three levels. Pam is a marvelous host and took care of everything. We will be making this an annual event!

Most ideal house for family trip to Balboa Island

We have spent our last 5 spring break's on Balboa Island, and this house is second to none for our group of 6. Pam was so kind to meet us upon arrival and show us every aspect of the house. The decor, and detail of the house left nothing forgotten. We used the 2 paddle boards, 2 kayaks and 2 bikes each day, which was an incredible amenity that few houses offer. The wagon was to most utilized item in the house which we used to haul all of the chairs, boards and kayaks each day. The proximity to the Ruby beach was so close, as well as the town and ferry. We used the front porch that had heaters and speakers, each afternoon and the kids used the roof top deck and hot tub each evening to wind down. The state of the art mater bedrooms, kitchen and elevator made this house to inviting and comfortable all week. We sincerely appreciate you opening your house to us and want to stay here for more years to come.

Fantastic family getaway

This home is amazing, first class all the way around. The home was perfectly suited for 2 families, the dual master suites and 2 kids rooms with bunks worked great! The elevator is an added bonus to get suitcases to the second floor rooms. Tons of outdoor entertaining/relaxing space. The location could not be better, 2 minute walk to the water in either direction, 2 minute walk to main street and a 5 minute walk to Balboa ferry.

LOOK NO FURTHER! LUXURY HOME ON BALBOA ISLAND

Impeccably furnished. Beautiful wood flooring, moldings, lighting, closet space. Spacious interior rooms, lovely bathrooms, modern kitchen with every amenity, plus elevator, 2 car garage. Several furnished patios, including a rooftop one with couch, table and chairs, and even a Jacuzzi. The location is perfect on a quiet street. A short amble to the bay, the ferry, all of the island’s shops and restaurants, and a mile walk or drive to Newport’s Fashion Island. This is a quintessential place to vacation. Something for everyone, young or old. You will be at home, sleep well, have lovely surroundings, and never want to leave. Just grab it!

Centerally located on a beautiful street within walking distance to all restaurants, shops and the ferry. This is a true jewel on Balboa. It has everything you could possibly want in a rental unit and more. Loved the location and definitely plan to rent again.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house had everything one could ask for!!

When we arrived, Rhonni greeted us and showed us the property. The house is beautifully decorated, is so cozy and has so many great spaces to relax. We used the paddle boards and kayaks every day. They have a wagon to transport all the gear to the beach. The elevator was so handy to bring our entertaining things to the rooftop seating area! We just had the best time! Thank you Pam for greeting us at the end and sharing your lovely house with all of us for my dads 80th birthday!!❤️❤️ We can't wait to come back!!

What a great break from reality

We had a great stay at their home and enjoyed every minute. This house has everything you could want for a great vacation. Balboa island really is a special place to spend time !!! 🌊 My only comment was that it was advertised air conditioning but really is only in the bedroom. Turns out you don't really need it anyways. Thank you Pam for aharing your awesome home With us !!! We can't wait to return.

A Balboa Dream Vacation

Our family of 10 had a Balboa dream vacation at 102 Diamond Ave. The coastal Craftsman home is new, spacious and beautifully decorated with hardwood floors and handsome cabinetry throughout. The gourmet kitchen, dining room and family room are all open with sliding doors to a side porch and front porch for relaxing. The hot tub on the 3rd level was a hit with everyone. There are two master suites and 2 bedrooms for kids. One of the master suites is just exquisite with high beamed ceilings, a large walk in closet and an all marble bathroom. All of the fixtures and surfaces in the remaining 3 bathrooms are new and very decorative. The home is only 1 block away from Balboa Bay that is a water wonderland for kids. The owners provide 2 kayaks; paddle boards, canoes and Sea Doos can be rented. The kids love to ride the ferry over to the mainland to the Fun Zone and the Pacific Ocean. It is so safe on Balboa Island. The kids can go to the beach, the bay or downtown on their own. The downtown is only 6 blocks away from Diamond with restaurants and many retail shops. We walked downtown each night for the famous Balboa Bar or frozen banana. We would recommend this unique home to anyone of any age and our whole family wants to go back.

Balboa at its Best

Outstanding house, location, and hosts! Interior is first rate with craftsman level finishes and very comfortable furnishings. Loved sitting outside on the patio or on the 3rd deck rooftop. Easy walking distance to both the Main Street of the Island (with shops, restaurants, and Balboa Bars) and the Ferry that provides access to the beaches of the Penninsula and the Fun Zone. Our teenage kids enjoyed the freedom to roam on foot. The Howards are warm and friendly and were incredibly helpful in making us welcome. Highly recommend.

Dream Vacation Rental

Ten stars is more appropriate (max option was five). This spectacular home is immaculate and in a prime location. Uber from the airport and you'll easily be able to walk to water activities, dining and shopping. We rented a boat and toured the harbor, went whale watching and saw dozens of dolphins, and hopped on the adorable ferry to cross over to the boardwalk and ocean numerous times. It's a short few blocks to downtown for great shopping and restaurants, and be sure to enjoy the rooftop jacuzzi to relax after a full day of fun.
