About this property

Luxury Safari Tent - Carr's Hill

Our safari tents offer a luxury glamping experience within a peaceful rural setting surrounded by beautiful countryside views.

Each tent has its own private shower room with shower, wc and wash basis.
Every morning you can breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the stunning views of the Stirlingshire countryside. Want to bring your family? No problem - the children can play safely outdoors whilst you relax and settle down for the evening with a nice glass of wine enjoying the magnificent sunsets towards Ben Lomond and Ben Ledi.

We have two Safari Tents, affectionately known as Hazel and Jennifer, they are truly a home from home but without the distractions of your usual daily lives.

Both tents allow you to live luxuriously and feature the following comforts:
• Private shower room with wc and wash basin
• Cosy log burning stove
• Hot and cold water
• Indoor cooking facilities
• Private decked veranda
• King size bedroom
• Triple bunk bedroom
• BBQ
Being ‘off grid’ means our tents have no mains power supply so they are lit by storm lanterns, solar lights, candles and torches – creating a fantastic memorable experience for the children or truly romantic atmosphere for couples who want to unwind.
Although the tents are off grid, we do have power points in our reception building a short distance away to charge mobile telephones and plug in the all important hair dryers and straighteners.
Our aim is to provide an ‘away from technology’ experience for families, allowing the art of conversation to be reinvigorated! Both tents have board games provided and we encourage relaxation, reading and enjoying the great outdoors for both children and adults alike.
Your escape to our Luxury Safari Tents will ensure a return to good old fashioned family values where the focus is on nature, the countryside and (most importantly) the real enjoyment of just being together. So whether you’re a family looking for a camping experience with a difference or a couple looking for a peaceful getaway our Safari Tents are waiting for you.

Please note that we do not provide bedding or towels for your stay. Bedding can be pre booked at £15/person for the duration of your stay.

Prima verblijf

Wagstaff Visitors

Lovely, peaceful location. Tent and facilities great. Plenty places to walk dogs around the area, especially Plean Country Park. Lots of great tourist areas to visit that arent too far away. We were lucky as there were no neighbours during our stay so felt privilaged to have beautiful area to ourselves xx

Brilliant, absolutely loved it

We as a family loved everything about our stay. We're hoping to book again for next year, hopefully both tents

Fun family trip

We were two families who rented both tents. This made it an exclusive place for the kids to play around in and for the parents to get some time together. The location was nice and central for day trips to Stirling, Edinburgh, and the Highland Games in North Berwick. Though we didn't have time, Glasgow and Loch Lomond would have made some other good day trips as well.

Kids loved the freedom of the garden, and an easy hop to the local sights, perfect for exploring!

Lovely setting, so close to big places but really feels rural and private. We stayed for 3 nights and though it was cold, we stayed warm in the cosy duvets and in afront of the fire. We loved being off grid, gave our kids time to detox from screens and we spent evenings playing boardgames and reconnecting as a family. Really loved our time here!

Super Safari Stay

We were two families with young children who had an amazing time staying in the Safari tents. Set in a beautiful location they were perfect for us to enjoy time with our families knowing that the youngest children were safe. A great location which allows you access to some fantastic days out. The tents have everything you need for your stay - the website makes it completely clear what you will need to bring. We especially enjoyed BBQing and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit on an evening

So good we did not want to leave!

Staycation 2020 - we’ve been glamping for 4 years now and this has been by far the best location, accommodation and experience. So much so that we did not want to leave. Would have happily stayed for a week. . Relaxing . Restoration . Peaceful

Super tents in a great location for a family holiday.

We had a super time while glamping in the safari tent. The tent had everything we needed. The paddock provided our children with lots of space to run around and for us to play games. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely like to stay at Carr's Hill again.

Fun and comfortable camping in convenient location

We had been needing an easy effortless short break and felt very relaxed from the moment we arrived. Greeted by Grant a while after arriving we soon settled in, enjoying the veranda in the sun. Well kitted out kitchen area, thoughtful touches such as plentiful candles with lanterns and holders. The beds were super comfortable and bedrooms private. the shower room was really appreciated, bright, clean and great also to have motion sensitive lights for nighttime trips! Woodburner and bbq also fab.

Family adventure!

I booked the luxury safari tent as I had been trying to persuade my family to try glamping for a while. We love having adventures and staying in the safari tent was certainly something different and exco.

Excellent Sat

We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 young girls. The stay was brilliant, we all absolutely loved the safari tents and the hosts really have thought of everything to make the stay perfect. The paddock was great to let the girls run around without any worries and the tents have everything you could possibly need. All the little personal touches were very much appreciated. Just wish we could have stayed for longer which we definitely will next time.

Scottish Getaway

So this might seem like remote area this was our Scottish oasis near all of the things we wanted to do. Near enough to Edinburgh and Glasgow, but set in idyllic countryside, it was ann incredibly peaceful home base. I’m so glad we found it. The kids enjoyed nightly forays into the surrounding trails and it was easy to prep lovely meals. Highly recommend for the glamping experience!

Lovely

The tent was exactly as advertised, camping with luxury!! The toilet and shower were clean and the shower nice and powerful, you can access these through the back of tent. The log burner lovely for the chiller evenings and lots of outdoor space. The owner couldn't have been more helpful.
