About this property

Garden studio cottage on 2 floors in Teffont

PANDEMIC STATEMENT: Reassurance to guests.
Fortunately Teffont Magna to date has had no Covid-19 cases. The Garden Studio is a secluded building far away from the madding crowds.
In order to thoroughly deep clean the Studio between bookings, we have blocked days either side of each stay and our minimum stay is now 3 nights. Sadly we have temporarily slightly increased our charges to contribute towards the intensive cleaning programme. Please feel assured that your stay will be safe and virus free. We as a village have taken great care over this period and we hope our guests will be equally vigilant. Thank you.

The Garden Studio at Spring Cottage lies in the Conservation Area in the Nadder Valley close to the source of the River Teff. Teffont is small village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is characterised by stone and thatched houses and rolling downland. The area is served by many local gastro pubs and Howard's House hotel/restaurant is within walking distance. Stonehenge and Salisbury are some 15 and 20 minutes drive and the city of Bath, Longleat and Stourhead are all within easy reach. The New Forest, the south coast towns of Bournemouth and Poole and the Jurassic Coast are all easily accessible.

The Garden Studio has been recently re-built as part of the renovations of a 14th century medieval hall house, one of the oldest buildings in Teffont and now provides comfortable contemporary accommodation. Set on two floors with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, the property has a sitting/dining room with a fully fitted kitchen with ceramic hob. The staircase, with timber and glass balustrades leads to a double bedroom with king sized bed and shower/wc.

Lovely time at Spring Cottage

We stayed in the studio at Spring Cottage for 4 nights. Bill and Vicky are thoroughly nice people and were very welcoming. They did everything they possibly could to ensure that we had a pleasant visit. They provided bread, cereal, eggs, croissants and milk for breakfast on our first morning. The studio is really clean, comfortable and spacious with beautiful surroundings. We will be recommending it to all our friends and family and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Beautiful and comfortable place to stay

An absolutely stunning place to stay! We were only here for 2 nights, but would happily have stayed here longer if we could. Upon arrival we were greeted by Bill, who was very friendly and welcoming. He showed us around the studio and said if we needed anything to just knock on the back door of the cottage (the studio is located just behind their lovely home). In the studio we were provided with eggs, milk, butter, bread, orange juice and tea/coffee. The bed was incredibly comfortable and everything was perfectly clean. Unfortunately due to a mix up with timings from homeaway/Air bnb we ended up leaving later than the check out time (which is 10.30am, but we thought it was 11am!). Bill was incredibly understanding and very patient with us though. But if you stay here please ask Bill or Vicky what time you need to check out (They need a good few hours to clean and reset the studio due to its size). All in all I thoroughly recommend staying here if you’d like to get away for a few nights. Also, its only 25 minutes from Salisbury, about 25 minutes from Stonehenge and about 40 minutes from new forest water park. So lots of great places to visit nearby!
