First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, Woodburner
Bedroom 2: Galleried, Single (3ft) Bed, Pull Out Single (3ft) Bed, Sofa Bed (Single)
Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for woodburner included. Travel cot and highchair avavilable on request. Welcome pack.. Enclosed garden. On road parking. No smoking. Mouse Cottage oozes charm and is packed with old world character including witches’ marks on the woodwork.
This beautiful cottage sits in the Dales village of Carleton on the edge of the famous market town of Skipton and is ideal for a family or group of friends looking for first class accommodation to enjoy their Yorkshire holiday.
Renovated by the current owners in 2020, Mouse Cottage is delightful with stone floors throughout the ground floor, oak window seats and exposed beams. The large kitchen has a real homely feel with its country style units and walnut work tops. The breakfast bar is ideal for a morning coffee or simply as a place to sit and relax whilst watching the chef in the family cook up a storm in the kitchen. The large wood burner and deep filled settees that surround it take centre stage and to the side is the dining area with ample seating for five.
To the first floor is the master double room with working log burner, exposed beams and duel aspect views. The second bedroom offers a single bed and with stairs leading up to a mezzanine level where you will find a double bed nestled under the eaves with a Velux window over. The accommodation is completed with the beautifully presented house bathroom.
Mouse Cottage is ideally located to explore the Dales National Park which has recently been named an international dark sky reserve. The bustling market town of Skipton is only a short drive away and plays host to a plethora of shops, cafés and restaurants.
The Leeds and Liverpool Canal runs through the centre and offers lovely walks along the tow path. Within easy reach of the cottage are the picturesque villages of Pateley Bridge and Grassington and the spa town of Harrogate. This cottage offers something for everyone whatever the time of year. Shop and pub 200 yards, restaurant 2½ miles.
