The property sleeps up to five guests across three bedrooms making in the perfect holiday home for families and friends alike.
The Space:
Lightkeeper’s Cottage has a welcoming and luxurious feel throughout. Head to the top floor and you’ll find the open plan kitchen, living and dining area. With skylight windows and patio doors, this space is bright and welcoming. The perfect spot for spending quality time with your loved ones, you can relax on the chaise lounge sofa and catch up on your favourite shows on the flat screen TV or enjoy a meal at the round dining table.
The cottage benefits from three spacious bedrooms - two kings and a single. Perfect for family stays, there is ample space for up to 5 guests. Both king rooms feature luxurious furnishings to create a relaxing feel. A subtle nod to Whitby’s maritime history, the single room has a nautical theme making it ideal for little ones.
From the moment you step foot in Lightkeeper’s Cottage, you’ll feel at home. With a welcoming and charming feel throughout, this popular holiday home will provide the whole family with memories to treasure.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There will be one allocated parking space at the complex which can be used for the duration of your stay.
Please note there are a number of steps up-to the property and once inside the property.
The Neighborhood:
The centre of Whitby, and Whitby Harbour are just a few short steps away from Lightkeeper's Cottage, so it’s ideal if you want to enjoy a break by the sea.
The area is famous for the quality of its fish and chip restaurants, and there are plenty of places where you can sink your teeth into a fresh catch. When you fancy a drink, you’ll find a variety of bars as well as pubs and shops in the local area.
Whitby is also famous for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. You’ll find plenty of sites near the apartment with historic interest relating to the story. The main inspiration can be found at the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. In particular, Dalby Forest and Guisborough Forest, just a drive away and they both have various beautiful walking and cycling routes to explore.
Getting Around:
Lightkeepers Cottage is just a short walk to the town centre, harbour and Whitby train station. Villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
