Located in the heart of the Old Town, only a few metres from Edinburgh Castle, this comfortable, victorian, two bedroom apartment overlooks the buzzing Royal Mile. Step outside and the city's most famous attractions such as Mary King's Close, St Giles Cathedral, Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh Castle , Scottish Parliament, The Scotch Whisky Experience, galleries and museums are within a short distance.

The space
This beautiful apartment has 2 double bedrooms fitted with super king-sized lThe beds are hotel grade and will ensure that you get a good night's sleep. The apartment is fully contained with everything you need to enjoy a home away from home. The bathroom has original stonework dating back to 1600s. It comes with a shower over the bathtub. Complimentary towels and toiletries are provided. The large inviting living area comes with a lounge space and fully equipped kitchenette comprising cooker and oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave, washing machine and crockery. There is also an NCP car park nearby for you to use at your own expense.

Central location on Royal Mile

The apartment has a very central location, right on the Royal Mile near the upper (castle) end, which made it easy to get out and see all the sights. The living area has a large high-top table and a kitchen with everything you'll need, and feels spacious due to the high ceiling. The two bedrooms are a little more cramped since the beds take up most of the space, but were fine. One possible downside is that the location is so central that the street below can be very busy and noisy during the day. (The apartment is on the 3rd floor though.) For us, that's part of the fun of enjoying the city, but if you want a quiet out-of-the-way location, this isn't it. We didn't have a problem with noise at night. Another thing to be aware of: there's a steep climb up a stone spiral staircase to get to the apartment. Again, this is part of the experience of an old building in an old city (it's like entering a castle!), but some people might have difficulty with heavy luggage.

Two Year Visit to Scotland

We visit Scotland (Edinburgh) every two years and this is the first time we decided to stay on the Royal Mile. The apartment was very appropriate and had everything we needed to make our stay one of the best yet. We would recommend this apartment to anyone desiring a local experience.

Great location, but

This is an outstanding flat, in the middle of everything you could want on the Royal Mile. Clean, comfortable, all amenities. But. There is a spiral staircase to get there, and it is steep and narrow and you’re on the 4th floor. Just be aware!
