About this property
Maison Confort 4 personnes
We suggest you to spend your holidays in one of our 4 houses which were renovated in 2015 (Laurier, Verveine, Lavande or Sarriette – about 65/70 m2 each) and can accommodate each up to 4 people. On the ground floor: a living room which opens on a private terrace (with a table, chairs, a barbecue, lounge chairs, a parasol), a fully equipped kitchen (with a washing machine, a dishwasher...), an independant WC. On the first floor: two bedrooms each with 90x200 cms twin beds (which can be gathered into one large bed at your request), a shower room with a WC. You will have free wifi, free parking on the Domaine and free access to the common garden and to the swimming-pool (heated in may, june, september, october, if whether allows it).
The Domaine de Puychêne is a holiday estate situated in the beautiful Languedoc-Roussillon region of the south of France . The estate offers 10 beautifully-furnished and equipped holiday cottages in a completely renovated 19th Century winery, offering lush gardens and a private swimming pool. The estate sits in the traditional wine-making village of Saint-Nazaire d’Aude, only a few minutes’ drive from the gorgeous Canal du Midi.
The village is only 20 minutes from the charming town of Narbonne, and is within easy driving distance of scores of lovely villages, historic abbeys and castles, superb vineyards for wine tasting, and of course the beaches and fishing ports of the Mediterranean.
Each of the apartments is spacious, and all offer their own kitchen. The ability to cook your own meals cuts down significantly on the cost of restaurants – and means you can explore the region’s lively local markets and cook up delicious fare using the freshest of fruit, vegetables, meat and fish.
The apartments will be furnished and decorated in a tasteful southern French style in keeping with the heritage of the Puychêne estate – with orignal antiques and muted, soft materials throughout.
At Puychêne, you’ll be able to laze the day away by our beautiful pool with a book, take a walk or boat ride down the tranquil Canal du Midi, or stroll into the village for a spot of shopping or to enjoy a drink on the terrace of our local café – where you can plan your excursions to Carcassonne Castle, pretty Pézenas town, the atmospheric Fontfroide and Lagrasse abbeys, the vineyards of the Minervois and Corbières, the seaside towns of Collioure and Cadaqués, or the dramatic Cathar Castles – perched on rocky outcrops overlooking the Pyrénées.
Great walks and bike rides abound – and the region is dotted with some of France’s most exciting vineyards – where you can stop in and taste award-winning wines. The food here is also superb – with the country’s best seafood on offer along the coasts.

After traveling iworldwide and having always lived and worked in Paris area we were looking for a place for sunny holidays. We fell in love with a village in Languedoc and we renovated a house 10 year ago. The biggest impression left when we used to travel was the warm reception and the experiences offered by inhabitants. It is the pleasure of conviviality and hospitality that we now want to give back to all those that choose to stay with us and sharing the knowledge we have of the Languedoc region. The Languedoc enjoys 300 days of sunshine per year, sea, natural parks, castles, abbeys and beautiful villages still far from the activity of the world. We deided to have a new life and searched a place to share this stunning region of Languedoc with the rest of the world. We found by chance an old winery in the heart of our village, next to the famous Canal du Midi and close to many attractions. After a major renovation, both simple and elegant, wecreated Domaine de Puychêne. Today it’s a place of relaxation and a base for visiting a region so rich that one visit will not be enough. See you !
