Faultless experience

Could not have asked for more during our stay. Mark and his wife were there for us whenever needed (which was not often as we were already so well catered for). The views from the balcony, where we had breakfast each morning were just stunning. Apartment was nice and clean and very peaceful in the evening, just serene. You must hire a car in order to reach the supermarket (otherwise it would be a 30 min walk) and local attractions. By foot you can reach beaches, water taxis to Trogir etc, plenty of bars and restaurants etc. We fell in love with the place and will return.

Chilled out villa in wonderful location

We had a great stay at Villa Irena. The apartment was clean as a pin, the owners super friendly and the pool was gorgeous. It’s a short (steep) walk to the beach front and lots of local cafes and restaurants - the local ice cream is a must! Trogir is close by and beautiful and Split is definitely worth a day trip - we went out by boat and home by taxi. Uber works great and cabs are cheap - watch out for some weird tourist uplift if you go to Trogir though, better to ask to be picked up and dropped off just outside the town and walk in. Sea is an incredible blue, people are lovely, food great. I’ll be back!

Five star "Dream Villa"

Me and my girlfriend had a great stay at the Villa in apartment no.4 The villa has a charming heated pool, overlooking the mediterranean.We spent quite afternoons and evenings sipping on cocktails with barbecue. The view is indeed 7 star ! The room was sparkling clean with all basics taken care of.Irena,Milan and the whole Markovic family are VERY guest friendly,infact we didn't even feel like guests there but at home ! A absolutely to visit Villa on everyones bucketlist.Enjoy charming Seget-Trogir and nearby Split ! We are already planning our second summer trip in 2018! Lovely property with great pool and great views

We enjoyed our time at the Villa. Facilities were spot on and Irena and Millan went out of their way to ensure we had a good time and that we had everything we needed. Good location for Trogir which we visited via Water taxi on multiple occasions. Lovely town and great food. More local to the Villa were a couple of good restaurants which we enjoyed as were the restaurants in Seget Donji.

Excellent located villa with hospitable owners

Mark was easy to communicate with throughout the booking process, although he wasn't there for our holiday Irena and Milan were excellent, welcoming hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They arranged our transfers from the airport with Ivan who we later booked to take us on further excursions. Ivan was a joy, our children loved him and he went above and beyond the call of duty, showing us hidden sights that we would not have found ourselves. The villa itself was spacious and adequately equipped. It is not particularly modern, but the pictures represent everything just so. The pool was lovely and the location was perfect for us. It was in a quiet place, but with easy access to bars and restuarants near by and for the busier Trogir, water taxis took about 15-20 minutes from the sea front - aprox 5-10 mins walk from the villa. The villa and grounds were immaculately maintained. We had a lovely time and would definitely return to Croatia and indeed this villa.

Beautiful place with stunning views!

Irena and Milan were wonderful hosts. They couldn't do enough for you. We stayed in apartment 2, which has a much larger balcony than the other apartments. Sea views absolutely stunning. The apartment and pool area were spotlessly clean and well maintained. Pretty much had the pool to ourselves during our stay. You do not need a car. Ivan, the driver will collect you from the airport (only 10 mins away) Irena arranged all our trips and Ivan is happy to take you anywhere! Krka national park was beautiful, if busy and rafting on the Cetina River was great fun with lovely scenery. Split is well worth a visit. You can get there by getting the water taxi to trogir and then another boat to Split (it takes about an hr) Lots of good restaurants and bars 5 min walk down the hill to the seafront if you don't want to go into Trogir. This was our first visit to Croatia and we absolutely loved it. It is a beautiful, relaxing place and the people everywhere were incredibly friendly. I would highly recommend Villa Irena. It has everything you need for a great family holiday. We will definitely return. Thank you so much to Irena and family for making our holiday so special!

Perfect family holiday location & apartment

Irena & Milan looked after our family are were the perfect hosts with answers to every query. Great location near Trogir, lovely beaches with clear water 250m away & the beach restaurant served excellent food, ice creams & drinks all day. The suggested 'fish picnic' & Cetina rafting trips were loved by the whole family ...... we shall be back again to explore more of this beautiful area & enjoy the very friendly Croatian hospitality & great weather.

Great apartment, clean and very well positioned

Both Irena and her husband met us on arrival and gave us some excellent tips on the surrounding area and activities. The apartment was very clean and had all we needed for a week's stay. The pool is great, very well looked after and never too busy. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, and there are lots of places to eat and watch the world go by. We caught a taxi boat every night into old Trogir which was only 20 kunas each (£3). The ride only takes about 10 minutes and these taxis run until almost midnight, we never had any trouble getting to and from Trogir quickly. Lots of lovely restaurants, bars and historic buildings to see when there. I would definitely recommend this apartment, great for quiet relaxing time and Trogir is so close

Beatiful holidays at lovely Villa Irena/ Trogir

We had our second stay at Villa Irena/ Trogir in July 2016. The kids just loved the pool, and it's a short way to the beach and many restaurants at the seaside. This part of Trogir is quiet and have a lot of small beaches giving you the "island-feeling". The hosts was very kind, being polite and giving us local wine (both red and white), and was taking really good care of us. Our apartment was spacious, clean and had a wonderful view of Trogir bay. We just loved our holidays at Villa Irena and will be back! Stein Nybrodahl, Norway.

Brilliant villa and location, very friendly hosts

We stayed with Irena and her husband for a week at the end of August 2015. Communication with their son Mark during the booking process was faultless, thank you Mark. He arranged for us to be collected from the airport for 30 euros. Irena is a wonderful lady who will do anything she can for you. Great pool, stupendous views from your balcony over the bay of Trogir. Watch the sun come up over the mountains in the morning, it's amazing! The villa is in a great location, 2 minutes steep walk down to the promenade along the sea. From there you can catch the water taxi to Trogir for 2 euro per person. The promenade unfortunately doesn't quite reach all the way to Trogir, if you want to walk to Trogir you have to walk on the main road the rest of the way from the end of the promenade. The water taxi is much better and they run until at least 10.30-11.00pm in the evening back from Trogir. There is a supermarket not far away, next to the hotel a bit further up the hill. There are more supermarkets on the road to Trogir, and a great market with fish, meat and vegetables in Trogir itself. The local buses are not great, can't really rely on them, they are often full and don't run that often. Car hire is cheap! We only paid 35 euro per day. We had a fantastic holiday in Croatia at Villa Irena, thank you so much Irena for being a brilliant host !! I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Irena for your next holiday. Beatiful week at Villa Irena

We stayed one week at Villa Irena in the last week of July 2014, and was very well received by our hosts. We were offered an upgrade of our apartment, and got a lovely spot with a lot of space and a huge balcony with an excellent view over the bay of Trogir. The cleaning of the apartment was done daily and was excellent. One of the goals this summer was to learn our 7 seven year old boy to swim, and he succeded! The pool was just lovely and the kids preferred to stay here insted of the beaches close by. We were surprised of the short distance from the apartment and to the beaches and restaurants. It was just a couple of minutes walk and the seafront was lovely. We went to the Old City of Trogir three times, using the water taxies going back and forth. It was an easy way to travel. Remember to withdraw cash at the airport. There is only one ATM nearby, and this one could be broken. (Happened to us). We will definately recommend Villa Irena and will be back. Thanks to the Nice owners for a beatiful stay and the taste of their local wine! Steinny/ Norway.

Fantastic view, ideal location and apartment

Fantastic view over the sea cost with easy access to Trogir, Split, Sibenik, Kra natural park and the beautiful islands make the Villa Irena an ideal place for exploring lovely and friendly Croatia. The boat connection to Trogir was a nice surprise and the sea was very clear making swimming and snorkeling pleasant. The Villa is divided into doubles with well-equipped individual kitchens and bathrooms. Three flats occupied by us fitted well to our group of ten old friends from Finland. Mark, Irena and Milan were always ready to help us, when needed. Special thanks for guiding us in preparation of very delicious fish and scampi B&Q evening. We got even a taste of excellent wine from their own vineyard! Hvala, kiitos, Ten grateful Finns

Amazing views, very friendly hosts

We were warmly received by husband and wife Irena and Milan who own a large property with several flats, an impeccably-maintained garden and a swimming pool. Milan even gave us a litre of a local wine produced by a friend of his in a nearby vineyard. Our flat had a balcony that opened over the bay, with beautiful views over Trogir and Split in the distance. A car is definitely a must unless you want to spend all your time by the swimming pool, or walking down to the beach (5 minutes). The decor of the flat is sparse but functional and more 1970s than 21st century. The use use of ambient scents was not exactly to our liking. Overall, an enjoyable experience with a very human touch.

What a wonderful week! We were greeted warmly by our hosts as soon as we arrived and given lots of information regarding the surrounding area. The villa and pool was immaculate and we had everything we could possibly need including a BBQ, local liqueur and even a gym with a view! We had a lovely holiday staying at Villa Irena!

Dear Mr. Markovic, We enjoyed our 14 nights/days stay at Villa Irena very much. The appartment had everything we needed and was very clean and very good maintained. The service from your dear parents was heartwarming. They were in the near all the times we needed them and helped us with are our needs. We loved the contact with them very much. Also the cleaning lady did her work with much love. The view from our balcony was wonderful. Swimmingpool was very clean and quiet. Toilets were very clean and the shower with warm water was perfect. We also used the BBQ and had a good time making our own diner. The beach that was a few minutes walk from Villa Irena was lovely and enough space was everyone. Lots of facilities on the beach and enough places to eat or drink. We hired the Jetski's and Parasailing a few times. We used the boat-taxi's a lot to Trogir, very cheap. Several good restaurants in the near. Also mant good restaurants in Trogir. Krka waterfalls and town Split were wonderful. We would highly recommend Villa Irena to everyone. great location, quality accommodation!

We had a fantastic holiday at the Villa Irena - our apartment was nicely furnished, spotless and the air-con made sleeping at night bearable! Towels were changed frequently, bins emptied and the whole site is immaculate. The owners are very welcoming and helpful! We had a fantastic view over the pool and sea, and also a balcony in shade which was great for lunch. The grounds were very nicely maintained and the pool was excellent - cleaned every day, and certainly big enough to swim properly in. Location-wise, the villa is ideally placed - close to the beach (with plenty of water sports available - jetski, parasailing etc) and the promenade with some very good restaurants. Water taxis to and from Trogir were frequent and very handy (although for four, the cost can mount up...) There are so many beautiful places to see nearby: beautiful Trogir itself, Krka National Park, Split, take a ferry to the islands (we went to Hvar from Split - excellent) and we would certainly recommend visiting Omis and the Cetina River for rafting. We would definitely recommend this villa as a great base for a holiday in Croatia - space to relax and unwind yet close to so many attractions.

Great stay at Villa Irene

I had a awesome great holiday at the Villa Irene where I stayed with my friends. We booked all the rooms so I visited all of them, and which ever apartment you will choose, you will be satisfied.They are all good :)! The apartments were spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable with a fantastic views to the pool and sea, good beds, good shower. The garden was beautiful and the pool was big enough and it was cleaned every single day. There is also a small gym :)! And what is important also, the position was perfect! The villa is in three minutes walk from the beach, you can also jump in a water taxi and travel to Trogir easily. The Split airport is also near, takes about 20-30 minutes to get there. There are also many beautiful places to see in Croatia: Krka, Plitvice national park, Split, all the small cities nearby, small islands... Mark was very helpful in organizing and helping us with everything. Nice excursions, like boat trips, canoeking, I definitely recommend this villa for a great Croatian holiday. My 10 days holiday was super!

Stunning, fun, relaxing and value for money!!

We had the best time at Villa Itena and I would recommend it to anyone! It is in a fantastic location, a stone's throw from the beach and not far from the local town which is stunning. The Vila itself was perfect for us, a lovely pool area where we could relax an have fun, and the rooms had everything we needed. The owners cod not have been more helpful, THANKS MARK! We went as a hen do and found the perfect combo of relaxation and fun but I would honestly say there is something g for everyone. Plus it's close to the airport and if you want more ugly life or shops then Split isn't too far. We were there in the low season and had a fantastic time, can ony imagine however fun this place is in high season! Fantastic location, perfect villa, great value for money.

Fantastic break in Villa Irena

We had an amazing hen do in Villa Irena. We hired 4 apartments for 16 girls, and it was really an ideal location for a hen party. Mark and his family were outstanding hosts and couldn't do enough for you (even a bottle of bubbly on arrival!). And we really couldn't fault the villa - the apartments were spotless and all had outside space, mainly balconies overlooking the sea. And the pool area was fantastic - amazing views! The apartments are a short walk (2 minutes!) down to the beach, which has some great bars and restaurants (Trogir). I would definitely recommend getting the boat taxi into Split though, a brilliant experience. Split (a short taxi ride away) is a stunning town with a great harbour and lots of bars and restaurants. We will definitely be returning to beautiful Croatia, and would highly recommend Villa Irena, which exceeded all our expectations. Thank you for a perfect hen weekend!

Summer Holiday 2012

We had an excellent 2 week holiday here with our daughters aged 13 and 16 in August 2012. The apartment was excellent in a great location and with a great pool. Beach is 5 minute walk away with a good restaurant also near the beach. water taxis into Trogir was a great way to travel. Trogdir is a beautiful town with great restaurants and markets. Split is only half an hour away and we had a great time exploring the Diocletian Palace. There are great seaside villages dotted around the coast and Primosten is well worth a visit. Watersports are located on the beach near the villa and parasailing and being towed behind a speedboat on a ring proved a great hit with the children. Mark is extremely helpful and arranged a trip for us on small boat to the Blue Lagoon where we had a great day snorkelling with an excellent fish barbeque(much better than the more crowded tourist boats). We had a great 2 weeks and I would recommend to anybody looking for a great holiday.

Perfect Family Holiday

We stayed in Apartment 2 in the middle of August and we loved every minute of our holiday. The apartment itself is fairly basic but literally has everything needed, bearing in mind that most dinners are eaten out in the variety of local restaurants, and that the majority of sitting and relaxing is done either on the huge balcony or down by the pool. The air conditioning unit was very welcoming in the mid-summer heat! The view from our balcony was quite simply stunning and we never tired of it morning, early evening or late at night. The pool area was also very picturesque. One of the huge positives of Villa Irena is the fact that it is so close to everything, and yet elevated enough to feel private. We enjoyed strolling down to the beach each day and having a dip in the sea, sipping a cold (and cheap) beer in the seafront bar at the bottom of our path, relaxing by the super-clean pool, walking down to the harbour in the evening and eating in Frankies fish restaurant and catching the water taxis over to Trogir for dinner (Restaurant Toma very good). We didn't need a car for this holiday at all and Mark kindly organised our transfers (airconditioned MPVs) and several trips. A driver took us to the Krka National Park which was beautiful but very busy. We also did a boat trip around the islands, which included the most delicious and surreal lunch. Lots of other companies offer a 'fish picnic' island boat trip, but Mark organised a small boat just for the 4 of us, which was much more personalised and fun. It was our best day of the holiday and we enjoyed it so much we did it again on our last day before our flight home! Thank you Mark and family for a truly relaxing, enjoyable and care-free holiday!! Vynikajuca dovolenka

Velmi pekna vila s bazenom. Rano sme si chodili zaplavat do mora, cez obed sme boli na bazene a poobede sme sli k moru posediet a poplavat si. Servis v apartmane vynikajuci, male upratovanie denne, postelne pradlo a uteraky vymienali 2x do tyzdna (boli sme tam 14 dni). Domaci su velmi prijemni. Do Trogiru sme chodili autom, je to 8km. V meste je super trh, kde sa da kupit olej, prsut, ryby, syry a vela inych veci. V okoli apartmanu su restiky s vynikajucou kuchynou. Skusali sme vecerat v Trogire, ale na miestne restiky sa v meste nechytali. ZAVER: velmi prijemna dovolenka, moznost bazenu aj mora, kvalitna strava v tesnom okoli

Villa Irene

Had a great holiday at the Villa Irene. The apartment was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable with a fantastic view. The garden and grounds were attractive and well-tended and the pool beautifully maintained. The position was perfect in that it was a three minute walk to the beach to swim in the sea and then to return to shower off and lounge by the pool in comfort. It was an easy taxi ride from Split airport and then we had no need of a car for the week. Water taxis to Trogir are frequent and enjoyable and Mark was very helpful in organising a couple of fun excursions for us. Restaurants were very close, cheap and good, although with predictably similar menus. The top floor apartments have the best views but only a narrow balcony – lower ones have shaded terraces for eating out. The air conditioning was in the main living area and we could have done with some fans in the bedrooms. We can definitely recommend it for a great Croatian holiday.

Villa Irena

What a lovely place Villa Irena is! The welcome was warm, the apartment clean and well-presented, the pool was beautiful and the views from the balcony were stunning. Milan, Irena and Mark are lovely hosts who helped make our holiday very special and we would love to return - the Dalmatian coast and its crystal clear waters and fascinating ancient towns such as Trogir and Split are a great destination for a family holiday (but you do need to be fairly fit and mobile to tackle walking up hills as my elderly mum struggled a bit). Our day out at Krka Park and then Primosten in an air-conditioned minibus which Mark organised for us was wonderful and is a must-see experience. We returned from our holiday thoroughly relaxed (and tanned) - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Irena, it's definitely worth a visit!
