Originally, The Granary was a yellow-brick barn used to house grain. Today, it is beautifully renovated and restored holiday let at the centre of the owners' farm on the outskirts of Cheltenham, close to the village of Shurdington. To either side of the property is a wicker fence surrounding the private patio and courtyard.
The Granary is accessed via Sandy Pluck Lane, a half-mile long, country track, passing open land and neighbouring houses and farms. You will find yourself surrounded by farmland and open country with easy access to walks and beautiful scenery. Guests drive into an immaculately kept courtyard, with the owners' property to one side, The Granary ahead and its parking area to the right. Behind a tall wicker fence is a private garden with a patio, seating and BBQ.
Downstairs, The Granary has a fully equipped kitchen with a separate utility/cloakroom and a large dining-living room, featuring the original beams and fabulous wood burning stove, with a door leading out to the patio and garden. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one furnished with a king-size bed and the other with two 3ft single beds. The two bedrooms share a shower room with a large walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin.
The Granary is ideally located to explore the Central, South and North Cotswolds by car, with easy access to all the major routes and places of interest, including Cheltenham Racecourse (6 miles), Sudeley Castle/Winchcombe (12 miles), Cirencester (14 miles), Bourton-on-the-Water (19 miles), Bibury (20 miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (22 miles) and Burford (25 miles). If you prefer to arrive by train and explore the area on foot or by bike, Cheltenham Spa or Gloucester train stations are just 5 miles from the property. In addition, up to two large stables can be hired, giving guests the opportunity to bring their own horses and explore the beautiful Cotswolds on horseback.
