Lakefront Cabin with dock and gentle slope on Norris Lake

The cabin is nestled among huge hardwood trees with a beautiful backdrop of the lake. A perfect get away for nearly any season the cabin offers something for everyone. During the warmer seasons, you can enjoy the breeze or you can put your feet up and relax on one of our two decks overlooking Norris Lake. If it’s a chilly evening you can build a bonfire in our outdoor fire pit or cozy up inside to a fire around the beautiful stone fireplace. During the days, your activity choices are nearly limitless. Spend the day playing on the lake, dining at one of the close by marinas for lunch, taking a nap, reading a book, or playing games. There are plenty of places nearby to enjoy hiking, biking, or rafting. With Knoxville just a short 45-minute drive away you can go shopping or find great restaurants for dinner.

The cabins interior is comfortable and cozy, with a family room that provides plenty of seating and beautiful vaulted cedar ceilings. When you enter the cabin you’ll immediately enjoy the open airy feeling and notice all the natural light. The home features two bathrooms and two bedrooms with king size beds, (one up and one down) along with two twin beds and a queen mattress located in the loft. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make cooking simple, and the lower level features a washer and dryer for your convenience. The large screened in front porch makes for a great place to enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the lake and the open-air side porch is great for grilling out and enjoying your dinner. Starlink internet is present in the home.

The trees are tremendous and keep things fairly cool in the summer with all their shade. Comparatively speaking we have a gradual slope to the lake that reaches our large private dock. We also have two wave-runner platforms available for your use. Our property has nearly 200 feet of lake frontage with a nice curve that adds to the surrounding water view. Norris Lake has 800 miles of shore line that wind through the foothills of Tennessee. Much of the land is protected which helps keep the forestry and wildlife safe and in abundance. The lake is very deep and unbelievably clear. There are ATV trails close in the town of Lafollette if your and off road enthusiasts. Enjoy our cabin for a fun family vacation, a fishing week with the boys, or a relaxing weekend away!

Love the place

This was our 6th year staying there and we love the house but not in love with the dock access. the concern for next year is that the house will not be there and if it is they are building a house right next to it. we are looking forward to being there next year I rate the house a 4 1/2 star for us

Great getaway cabin

We had a great stay. Cabin was as described. Beautiful views . Be sure to read instructions carefully- the driveway is steep and gravel. 4 wheel drive is def needed !! Easy to manage if you have it.

Lake Trip

Cozy cabin with private lot and easy access to water. Owner’s were quick to respond to communication. Cabin was well equipped with everything needed for the week! Screened porch and fire pit are a bonus .

Great Getaway

The location and layout of the property is awesome. It is a bit rustic, and you'll have to climb down a step ladder to get to the dock. We are agile and in shape, but many people could have trouble getting to the dock...fyi. It is my 3rd year to enjoy this place, and hope to be back!

Was an awesome experience! Scenic drive with a picturesque location. Cannot wait to go back during the summer when the water level is up. Like the other reviews said, make sure you have a vehicle that can handle the rocky driveway. We hiked it but, could pose challenging for some.

Peaceful view & screened porch

A Nice cabin…very comfortable for the 5 of us. Gorgeous view of lake. The owner has thought of everything! Boat dock, 3 decks, fire pit, comfortable furniture on the screened porch, comfortable beds, fully equipped workable kitchen, all in a serene and peaceful wooded area. A great place to enjoy the lake

This cabin is in a great location to enjoy the numerous marinas and restaurants on the lake by boat. It is about 30 minutes from town but we spent all of our time either at the cabin or on the lake. The cabin has all the essentials for a family vacation. The large bumper on the dock was greatly appreciated to protect our boat as the waves can get high as the wake boats drive by. The only negative was the lack of water pressure in the showers.

The location and roads leading to the property are not great. That is to be expected driving up mountains. Very steep driveway, no issue with a truck. Our main concern was the dock, in need of much repair. No actual boat slip, our boat got beat up by the waves, our extra large buoys helped. The view and the property are gorgeous! Absolutely enjoyed the cabin and the screened in porch, very nice in the evenings. Nice view of the lake in the evenings! Property owner informed us of the new build next door, we had no issues. No construction crew during our stay. Overall, the property was nice, clean, and the view of the lake was beautiful.

Great Cabin!

The cabin is clean and nice. The driveway has new gravel so was easier. Four wheel drive needed for any inclement weather as it is very steep. The dock was nice. The fire ring was a plus as was the screened in porch. The screened in porch became our morning place to watch the lake and drink coffee. Very serene and nice. The cabin had very comfortable beds, great kitchen with everything you need. They even provided some puzzles which was nice. Overall very family friendly and good place to swim in the cove area. Campfire with s’mores and relaxing watching the lake is really a great feature. The extra deck and chairs really nice too.

A great lake cabin with a lot to offer!

Nice little getaway place with all the amenities needed for a lake trip: well-equipped kitchen, grill, hammock nearby, screened-in porch overlooking the lake with a couch, nice outdoor eating area near the grill and kitchen, a great fire pit area overlooking the lake, another deck with lounge chairs overlooking the lake, dock with ladder for swimming and plenty of room for docking a boat (marina with rentals nearby). The owners must have addressed the driveway issues because we had no trouble. The driveway is steep as with many lake properties, but looks to have been recently re-worked. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Viasat was internet service provider and was functional.

getting onto the dock from the steps, was very, very unsafe that needs to be addressed looking at the reviews in the book at the house. The people before us said the same thing stated that the dock maintenance people came and made it worse. Someone will get hurt going from the steps to the dock I suggest a different platform. We love the house we have stayed there the last five years and hope to continue to stay there every year. Thank you.

Great little cabin

The driveway was no joke in just steepness. It was recently redone tho and in great condition. The property looked recently cleared and was nice and open. We enjoyed fires at the fire pit every night. We used the Bluetooth speaker that was provided with the cabin. The cabin was just perfect for us and another couple. The kitchen was very well stocked and everything worked. We put out boat in at Whitman hallow and it was only a 10 minute ride to the cabin. It was amazing to be able to just walk down some steps and be right on the water. The only thing we weren't thrilled about was the transistion from the last wooden step to the ramp on the dock. It was almost a 1 foot difference and it was crooked. It seemed like the dock just needed to be pulled in a couple more feet or the steps extanded down some. It was 3-4 ft below full pool while we were there. Overall the place was amazing and can't wait untill we are able to go back.

Great cabin on the lake

Clean, comfortable and quiet log cabin on the lake. Loved sitting on the screened front porch with my coffee watching and listening to all the woodpeckers in the trees. King size bed was very comfortable.

Wonderful Getaway

One of my favorite spots to stay because of the woods and privacy around the cabin. I did clean all the air conditioner filters because they were full. Otherwise, a very nice place to for relaxation and rest.

Lake cabin

Cute cabin with good location. Pier was very nice for swimming off of and tying boat to. Overall property was nice but could use some loving care with dusting walls, lighting fixtures, windows, etc. Water pressure was hit or miss in lower shower and upstairs shower was less pressure but got the job done. The driveway was no joke and 4 wheel drive can't be recommended enough! Deep ruts in the gravel drive where water has run down causing them. Definitely in need of repair. Would stay here again with better idea of what to expect.

Beautiful Point location <3

The owners had some issues with the driveway due to rain, and of course warned us in advance. We said, challenge accepted! Adorable little cabin and perfect for the 4 of us. Plenty of cookware and dishes. Very comfy beds. Just a great stay over all ❤️

Cabin Charm

Great cabin with charm and very easy walk to the lake. Perfect for a family of 4 and only negative is the metal staircase which is easy to walk into while working in the kitchen. Padding of some sort would be good on the sharp metal corners.
