The Anderson Cabin was very clean and a great place to stay. It was quaint and our family of five truly enjoyed it. I would book it again next time we stay in Shaver Lake.
Our family of three were very comfortable at the Anderson’s cabin. We cooked in each day and were able to relax after hiking and playing at the snow park. We were able to comfortably fit our son’s pack ‘n play in the second bedroom which was a plus as well. We loved how close the cabin is to the town and walked to the cafe one morning. The hosts were very hospitable and communicated well. We had no issues and would stay here again.
The cabin and location were super cute, we had a lot of fun walking to the tavern down the road and the nearby markets. We wish the stairs would’ve been a little easier to get up and down with luggage but we managed.
Our stay was welcomed by a very clean an cute home. The listing was accurate, especially the information about the parking. We have a Denali and that fit in the space. I would just be cautionary with parking if there was a lot of snow during a visit as even without snow; the traction control turned on to back up into the space. But that can be true of many places in the area so it's not just specific to this home. The steps were manageable inside and outside. I did notice that the home kept warm very well. We never felt like we were cold on the inside! The beds were comfortable as well. We'd stay here again for sure. Thank you!
Amenities were good. Stove could use an upgrade. And difficulty parking should be advertised. Minimal parking for multiple vehicles.
Other than that it was a wonderful little cabin. Good water pressure. Great for a two week stay for people looking for a get away at shaver lake..
The Anderson Lake House was immaculate, cozy, and in a fantastic location in Shaver Lake! We will absolutely be coming back and the hosts had excellent communication and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. Again, the location was beautiful and in walking distance to many of the local eateries.
I am so thankful I found this place!! It was so close to everything, and cozy spot to relax and work for a while. The Wifi worked great! Thanks for a great experience.
A delightful cabin, easy access to town and quick drive to the lake. Super nice owners with great communication and so helpful in trying to find us accommodations when our family needed an extra night somewhere in town. Perfect for what we needed for the Open Lake Waterpolo tournament.
The cabin was super clean! It was relaxing and so peaceful sitting in the living room or patio! The home is nestled in the trees, it gives the effect of being in a treehouse! Very convenient to town. Thank you!
We had such a great stay in this cute and cozy cabin! The kitchen was perfect for cooking for your family, while the group relaxes in the living room or enjoys playing foosball and other board games that are provided. The patio was amazing also! The location was an easy walk to town. Great place to bring your family and/or friends for a fun stay in Shaver! Thank you Anderson family!
Enjoyed a week stay here. It was during a heat wave, but with the fans provided it was comfortable even upstairs. Well stocked. Nice deck with view of trees. Nice layout for a couple or small family. We walked to Hungry Hut and to the pizza place, and it’s a short drive to Edison day use beach ( Bring beach chairs)
My wife and I have been wanting to take our 2 year old daughter to the snow for a while now. This cabin was perfect! It’s exactly as advertised. It’s feels like a tree house with the views. It was extremely cozy and for me, hanging out I. The cabin in its surroundings was a part of the experience in Shaver Lake. This was perfect for what we were looking for.
We enjoyed our stay at Anderson House. It was just the right size for four people. There are lots of stairs to climb both outside and inside, but that wasn't a problem for us. The house was very clean and comfortable and the hosts were easy to communicate with. If you enjoy hiking we recommend the many trails at Huntington Lake. Especially the Rancheria Falls Trail. The volume of water coming over the falls this year is amazing!!
Fun and funky cabin on a hillside in a neighborhood with lots of other cabins on narrow streets. Works fine for a few people. Everything worked well, the entry deadbolt is a bit confusing, need to let it go through its cycle and light will turn green when it's ready to let you in....
The best thing about this property were location and the patio! Walking distance to stores and restaurants. Did hike to the lake, that was also very enjoyable. Unfortunately not enough room inside for 3 adults who have very different ideas of vacationing, but I guess it’s not on the hosts, right?
Pictures of one of the bedrooms are a little misleading, there are 2 small beds in that room, but looks like it’s bigger and 2 adults will be able to sleep. False! Had a little bit of a hard time opening the locks. There’s a ritual.
But overall great experience!

good location, but disappointing....
Check in was bad, manager forgot to email/text me the code. Washer/dryer we were planning on using for ski clothes was difficult to use, do to it being in the basement and can only be used during daylight.
Biggest complaint is that the rate per night was too high, maybe because we rented Christmas week. But $400 plus per night for this very small cabin, is not a reasonable value.
Cute little place. The only issue is the description has Mountain View. There are mountains in the area, but you have no view of them. It is like you are in a tree house in the forest. Other thing and I think others mentioned there is a lots of stairs. We were on a two week trip and if I knew I was going to stay here again I would pack just one small bag if you were just staying a few nights so you did not have to fight the stairs. Full disclosure I am 62 years old, but I live in a two story home so stairs are not a real issue for me normally. Lastly we had planed our trip to stay somewhere at our halfway point to wash our clothes and the washer did not work. Owners did send someone out but could not get it working. There is no laundromat in this town so that was our only true disappointment with the stay.
