On the Eastern shores of Windermere, midway from the top and the bottom of the lake, it doesn’t get much better if you’re looking to explore this popular part of The Lake District National Park This excellent holiday cottage provides the perfect holiday home to relax, spend time with loved ones and make amazing memories together.
Upstairs you’ll find two good sized bedrooms, a spacious master bedroom and a twin bedroom, with plenty of storage, making this property ideal for couples and families. The bathroom has a decent sized shower cubicle and a contemporary finish with modern fixtures and fittings. The ground floor features a bright, open plan living room and dining area with comfortable, easy seating a smart TV, ideal if you want to relax after a day on the fells. It has a large dining table, perfect for a family games night and a few glasses of wine. The large windows flood the room with plenty of natural daylight. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need for a hearty breakfast before a day of adventure. At the front is a lawned area and a private car parking shared with the other residents (as this is a holiday property, only cars may be parked here. Commercial vans, taxis, trucks, boats, trailers etc are not allowed). The property is in the exclusive and popular Storrs Park area, just outside the hustle and bustle of Bowness-on-Windermere.
You are ideally situated, close enough to easily access the popular tourist village with its array of facilities, attractions, bars and restaurants, but with the benefit of accommodation far enough away that when its time to relax, you can unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet. Lake Windermere and the Steamers are a short drive or walk away, and you can easily access the main routes to explore further afield. To the North, you will reach Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere. To the South Newby Bridge and lakeside with The Aquarium of The Lakes and The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. Or you can take the car ferry over to Hawkshead and Coniston. With all of this on your doorstep, Meadowcroft Cottage makes for a great holiday. Beach 13 miles.
