Beautiful cottage in a lovely village

We had a lovely week at Pink Cottage in Goldsithney. It is a fantastic location for local walks and only a short journey to the coast. Convenient for visiting Penzance, Mousehole and Lands End. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend the beautiful cottage.

8/10 Good

Comfortable, well-equipped cottage in an ideal location

Very well situated in the heart of the village, less than a minute's walk from the two pubs. Within 15 mins walking, you are are Perranuthnoe village & beach and on 'the path'. The cottage is in a quiet area with no disturbances. The cottage is great - the indoor porch is great to keep any dirty outdoors gear from entering the cottage, the kitchen is well-done and has good appliances and good layout, the furnishings are all generally good, the owners have invested in quality, and overall the cottage has a good layout. The owners have a file with various good tips and resources (hidden in the lidded foot stool) and the place is generally well-equipped and nicely stocked with books for local reference. Small gripes - the log burner has a little issue around smoke backfilling unless you get the fire going in a certain way, but not a big deal; the mattress and pillows might be too soft if you prefer firmer, and the bedroom gets warm (we had the window wide open through the night in October), which affected our sleep quality; the keysafe opening mechanism is very stiff and needs attention; the smart TV is good but a few inches smaller than it could be, so not ideal if you're go wanting to make the most of Netflix and Amazon Prime during your getaway, and the freeview channels need to be retuned or aerial needs attention. If the bedding was firmer (it felt like our feet sat above our heads) then we wouldn't hesitate to use this cottage again - it's a great base in a great location for exploring west Cornwall.

A little bit of luxury

away from the madding crowds, but close enough to enjoy all the local attractions, pubs, beaches, gardens, and lovely walks, Pink Cottage was just perfect for a relaxing week away, stylishly comfortable yet still practical for us and our 4 legged friend. Everything you needed for self catering, but some amazing eateries a short walk or drive away recommended by the hosts.

Pink Cottage review

We had a wonderful stay at Pink Cottage. Goldsithney is a fantastic location close to lots of beautiful beaches and little towns such as Marazion and St Ives. Also only short drives to Lands end and Sennen one of my favourite spots! The cottage is cosy and tastefully decorated with a great garden space to sit out and enjoy the lovely weather we was lucky to get. Thank you Pink Cottage for a great stay!

Great stay peaceful village lovely cottage good for dog walks.

Lovely little cottage, everything you would need. 2 nice pubs and a shop within a minutes walk, booking the pub meals in advance advisable. Only a short drive to Penzance with beach and shops, good for dogs and walking tracks nearby. The garden isn’t as secure for dogs as it looks had ours on a lead the whole time. Overall a great cottage would recommend.

Relaxing week at Pink Cottage

Excellent location. Large garden with summerhouse had breakfast there most mornings. 2 pubs around the corner, proper village pubs with Excellent food. Dan at Crown Inn proper host. Beaches, small co-op store all within 2mls. Weather hot but cottage cool thanks to tiled floors. Exceptionally quiet. Stairs bit steep. Neighbour very pleasant. Parking off road next to cottage. Would stay again.

A little home from home.

Pink cottage is in a great location, near the sea and on a quiet road. The cottage has everything you need for a stay by the sea. There are lots of places to visit including nearby St Michaels Mount, Perranuthnoe beach, Penzance, art and craft galleries, many world famous National Trust gardens are near . Plus lots of walks and footpaths to explore.. A lovely welcome pack of scones, jam, clotted cream, milk etc. Lovely to sit outside in the evenings in the garden or the Summerhouse and relax. We called it our little home from home.

Outstanding

We have stayed at Pink college for a week, and we were impressed by beautiful and friendly look of pink cottage, the welcome with flowers and the scones, jams on the table ready was incredible, most importantly everything was clean to a high standard. There is everything you need and the location is good as it is close to the main beaches and most famous areas. Will go back again. Highly recommend.
