This newly listed 2 bedroom (plus extra half- room w/ Queen bed), 2.5 bathroom house located close to Kanaka Bay is a perfect getaway to relax and rejuvenate on San Juan Island.

This charming house features a fully stocked kitchen, two outdoor decks and a 0.25-acre lawn. A gas BBQ is available to cook Westcott Bay oysters while watching the sunset from this west-facing house. Enjoy the lovely view with your morning cup of coffee and enjoy the view from the private primary bedroom porch.

The living room offers a simple and cozy arrangement to relax together after a day of exploring! An array of books is provided, or the comfortable seating is perfect to curl up as a family with a movie.

The layout of the two bedrooms upstairs makes it feel as though there are two primaries with separate bathrooms attached. This makes it ideal for two couples with a possible younger traveler as well. The top of the landing opens up to a small office area, and just past that is the half-room with a Queen bed. (Privacy offered with a curtain partition.) The primary Queen bedroom with en-suite bath is to your right, while the other primary King bedroom with en suite bath is to your left. Both offer beautiful views through the picture windows.

This home is perfectly situated down a very private road just a few miles from downtown Friday Harbor. The rest of this 1.5 acre property is covered with lush, naturally growing vegetation, which adds to the feeling of privacy. Bring your bikes to travel from the property out to the famous Westside Preserve and Lime Kiln Lighthouse, which is a great spot for a sunset cocktail with a chance of seeing some whales, porpoise, Harbor Seals, sea lions and bald eagles!!

San Juan Island

My sister and our husbands had a wonderful vacation in the Kanaka Bay Cottage. The location was perfect - 15 minutes from everything we wanted to explore and in 5 days we did and saw everything that we had hoped to. The house was absolutely charming and immaculate. Beautiful Remote Vacation house

Great house to stay at with family. Private lush backyard, great for running around and sitting on deck in the sunshine. Fully stocked kitchen with olive oil and spices, every utensil you could need. Perfect space for family with two bedrooms with en suites, and then an alcove with full bed, nearby where my daughter slept. The only thing was no window coverings in alcove and only light filtering shades in bedrooms, so if you’re used to blackout shades, you or your children might be awake at the crack of dawn. :-D Ideal location- 15 mins from Friday harbor, 15 mins from Lime kiln, where we attended a wedding, and maybe 20 mins to roche harbor.

Super comfortable bed and the bathroom situation is perfect for the sleeping arrangements. If you are looking to sleep in late this may not be the best place. The windows in the bedrooms lack any coverings. I really think the owner should possibly think about providing some blinds. Minor complaint. We used the kitchen for all of our meals and it is well put together. BTW fantastic towels. Quit and with lost of wildlife. Enjoyed the nightly visits with the foxes. Enjoyed our stay and would do so again if we visit this area another time.

The house was bright, airy and very clean. We’ll equipped kitchen and nice outdoor seating and barbecue area. One thing to note is this house does not have access to a beach even though it is across the street from the water.

Beautiful place to relax

Very nice property in a good location. About 10-15 min drive from ferry. Place was clean and had all needed amenities. The only thing that bothered me were that the cleaning people were there waiting for us to leave at 10am… I wish they would give like a 10 minute window just so you don’t feel rushed out even when leaving on time. That is a small critique, overall this place was wonderful and I would stay again.

Quiet and relaxing

We loved our stay! The neighborhood was very quiet and secluded and beautiful. We felt very relaxed the whole time. It is perfectly situated that everywhere we went was within 15 minutes. We will definitely come back!
