Die Ferienwohnung ist traumhaft schön. Sie ist sehr sauber und mit ganz viel Liebe eingerichtet.
Lynda Mitchell ist eine ganz tolle und nette Gastgeberin. Vielen Dank!
Very well equipped and immaculate. In quiet side street off lovely village of Edzell. Near to Angus foothills and beautiful coast and right next to wonderful walk up to rocks of solitude.
Couldn't ask for more.
Our stay was excellent in all respects. Lynda's communications were good and we found the cottage spacious, very well fitted out; beautifully decorated and ABSOLUTELY clean. The welcome basket was very generous and the provisions such as hand soap luxurious. The cottage contained everything that one could want and more. We recommend no.1 Union Steet very highly and would not hesitate to stay again. Edzell is a great little town. The location is excellent for exploring the Angus Glens, Stonehaven/ Dunnottar castle, and Kirriemuir. The outstanding Walk to the Rocks of Solitude (The Blue Door Walk) is on the doorstep - not to be missed.
Me and my 3 kids came to Brechin to visit family.
Lynda’s cottage, Number One, is fantastic!
I honestly can’t fault it at all. From the lovely welcome basket with locally freshly made goodies, a nice card and Easter egg for the kids, very comfy beds, folders with info of the surrounding area and the cottage, to communications from Lynda before, during and after our stay, I just have to say we’ll definitely be booking up again. I also took some business cards to give to my dad to hand out to his other visitors as he gets plenty. 5 stars all round!
Friendly little town. Chippy and ice cream shop just steps away. Lovely cafe gift shop a walk away.
Cottage was super clean, and cozy. Felt right at home.
Lynda was a super host and thought of everything. Welcome basket was full with tasty goodies.
We would definitely return.
Everything was wonderful with our stay.
Comfortable beds, fresh smelling linen & fluffy towels, generous welcome basket, incredibly clean & well equipped home. The chess board was a hit with my boys & they taught me how to play!
Lynda is a kind & thoughtful hostess & is very helpful & great at communicating.
The location is great with a brilliant play park 5 mins walk, Edzell Castle within a short walk (although currently closed for renovations), & a lovely pub & coffee shop with fresh bread round the corner.
Easy to park outside the house, cute private garden.
An easy drive to the coast & to some beautiful nature areas (woods, rivers etc). 10 mins to Lidl supermarket & Tesco about 20mins drive.
All in all, we'd highly recommend this rental property.
Thank you Lynda, for a great stay.
Cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Lovely generous welcome basket, friendly helpful owner. Ideally placed for the Angus Glens and the coast.
Edzell is the perfect Angus village. The cottage is in an excellent location, beautifully appointed, and perfectly clean. Thank you Lynda for clear communication.

This is the best rental experience ever! Great location in small village. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The host was superb! Great communication and very helpful, which made for a wonderful stay. Definitely mark down for a return visit.
The decor had a Scandinavian vibe which we loved as our mum was Norwegian! Every small detail had been thought of by our excellent host, Lynda. She was super helpful and made some fun recommendations. Truly a home away from home. After five minutes, we were ready to move in! Edzell was an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding regions in Angus and beyond.
Lovely place to stay clean ,warm ,good neighbours and well equipped. lovely little garden to eat in on sunny days . Edzell is a friendly village with the local pub two minutes walk away with good food. Lovely walks from the front door would recommend this as a place to stay for couples and families.
Do not hesitate, Book now ! This is a gorgeous spotless little village cottage (plenty of room for 4), just a perfect home from home and so cosy and comfy. Its a terrific base for exploring the East Coast. The Panmure Arms is the local hotel/pub which is two minutes across the road from the cottage and this along with Sinclairs Bistro do lovely food if you don't want to travel far. There is also a Fish n Chip shop and a local Spar and a little local newsagents too. If you want to travel for something to eat I highly recommend the Anchor Inn at Johnshaven, the food was delicious. This was probably the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in and Linda left us a beautiful generous welcome pack for our arrival, which was truly appreciated. I would absolutely recommend this little treasure of a cottage.
The cottage was spotless. Lynda had left us a food hamper in kitchen which was a lovely touch. The cottage had everything you needed and more!! Would stay again and recommend to family & friends.
Lovely little 2 bed cottage in quiet rural village of Edzell. Faultless cleanliness, with everything you could need provided by the owner. Some nice walks in the village and surrounding area, with a nice village pub, a couple of eateries and village shops and a lovely butchers. Recommended for a quiet, mobile free (no signal!) break.
