Dog sitting is also available for a small fee so please ask in advance.

The pool is not fenced so please be aware of this if you are bringing young children and dogs. It is currently closed and we ask that guests do not run around the pool and do not leave children or pets unaccompanied in that area of the garden. The pool is 4' x 27' x 15'.

Dogs all have fun in the garden and it is fully fenced.

Lovely little holiday let

Linda who owns the property is lovely and welcoming. And also provided useful info on dog walks. Linda has a terrier who is friendly once you are introduced, you are encouraged to use her garden which is spacious but tbh the walking around to the property is amazing, deer are easily spotted in the forest surrounding the house. I slept really well despite the house being right on a main road. The rooms are as described, room enough for two. Good TV. Cupboards in kitchen could be given a wipe down, otherwise no issue.

Thumbs-up

A nice, comfortable base for hikes in the Chilterns. Linda was friendly and welcoming, and gave us a very helpful tour of the cottage when we arrived. Traffic noise from the adjacent A4130 was the only minor downside (and might have been worse than normal, since the Henley regatta was underway).

Perfect stay for us and our dog

Property is exactly as detailed online. A super enclosed secure garden for the dog, who got on extremely well with owners dog. Great location for walking the dog. Can recommend a visit to the Cheese Shed and White Hart who happily allow dogs in the bar. Was very easy to contact the owner prior to the stay with any questions, and was there to greet us on arrival. A lovely few days rest! Thank you Linda

Cosy little cottage

We had a lovely stay in Nettlebed. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped with many special touches, especially in the lounge and dining area. Good location with lovely woods around the cottage and only a short drive to Henley. Linda is a very friendly and accommodating host. She provided us with all the basics for the kitchen, even with pads for the coffee machine, and was always ready to help or answer our questions. Thank you for a great holiday!

Lovely cosy home from home, just what is needed for a recharge.

Booking and arrival was easy, property had everything we needed. Sofas and bed were comfortable and good range of online tele. Bathroom was a bit cold at night when the heating was off but was warm when the heating was on.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay

Everything and more - the photos do not give a true idea of the level of comfort and the effort that has been made to make the cottage a perfect place to stay. Great communication and help with any questions and requests. We will stay again if in the area and recommend to family and friends - Thank you

Short break

We had a lovely short break. The property was clean, cosy and comfortable and Linda greeted us warmly on arrival. The location was great for visiting the places we wanted to see - Henley, Cliveden, Wallingford, Goring.

Epic relaxing stay in beautiful wooded area.

Right from before I even booked Linda was extremely helpful and accommodating answering all of my questions. We had communication right up until arrival and she even supplied us with extra flour when we ran out during our first ever home made pizza attempt. The host Linda is absolutely wonderful, warm, friendly, extremely kind and couldn't do enough for my family. She found a stunt kite for my boys to play with, produced bubble supplies for them without asking and even bought them some beautiful lanterns as a gift. She allowed us to use a super wood fired pizza oven which was amazing, was so friendly throughout our stay and a real pleasure to be around. She helped make our holiday extra special and I will forever be grateful to her as we really needed this break. The cottage was gorgeous, it had everything we needed and to be honest the passing traffic didn't really bother me. There are stunning woods that we walked our dogs in several times daily as far as our legs would take us, a BBQ to cook on in a lovely spacious garden and a cosy cottage to snuggle up watching a film in the evening with lots of choices for dvd's. This is a superb place to stay and I highly recommend staying here.

Girls Week Retreat

After losing my long term boyfriend this place was the perfect escape. Apart from Linda the host, there were no neighbours but the town was close enough that shopping or going out for food was no problem! The Linda is also the nicest person In the world, you can tell she loves her job, on arrival there was four pizzas in the freezer, she showed us how things worked and when it came to how long rants about my ex she listened and shared her own experiences so I didn’t feel so bad! For broken hearts or for Lovers this place is an amazing week away from it all!

Fabulous host and very comfy accommodation

Linda was fab from pre-booking stage, answering our questions, and was so accommodating but also relaxed. Lovely little space, particularly the lounge / dining room area. Only minus point would be that the road is busy. Other than that, super!

About the host

Host profile image
I am a a 50 plus graphic designer working from home and have two older children who are both away a university most of the time. I am friendly and chatty but can also extend total peace and quiet. We have a young dog called Willow who is a Jack Russell/Beagle cross who is very good with other dogs if a little excited at first.

Why they chose this property

I love Henley on Thames and renting out our quirky cabin. I was brought up in a seaside resort where my mother ran a guest house. When I first came to Henley I loved that the river Thames ran through it and there was plenty to do and see.

What makes this property unique

Semi rural, super easy parking, sound proofed open plan area, Tardis effect on entering. Everyone is surprised when they enter the cabin as it is very decieving from the outside. We love our quirky den and so do our family and friends who’ve stayed in it countless times. Dogs looove the fenced garden!!
