Short trip

The cottage was quite lovely to stay in for a few days. I loved the location, enjoyed a great dinner with friends at the local restaurant. The shop next door was also wonderful.

Comfy, cozy Costwolds gem

The place is very much in keeping with the posting. Comfy and cozy. The dining table -set for a lovely dinner for two - a very nice touch. There was a tasty welcome cake - very much appreciated. We spent one eve at the local pub and truly enjoyed the experience. And there is a tea room next door! Our only challenges - we found it difficult to keep the place warm - and my husband wasn’t able to get a good nights sleep - the mattress was too soft. And some supplies were sparse. .

The Leaky Cauldron

We stayed a week in One Hope Cottage. Thank you for the cake although we could not eat it because it was cooked in the sun on the countertop. The cottage looks nice at first sight. But….the old building needs maintenance, cleaning (spider webs and dust on arrival day) and painting (under the stairs). At the end of our stay we had several leaks (ceiling at the front door and windowsills) from rainfall. The bed is good and we enjoyed the wood burner. We missed storage for the clothes, There is no wardrobe only a chest of drawers and some hangers. The location however is beautiful, it’s a lovely village with a great community feel and friendly people. The Village Shop next door is wonderful for coffee and cakes and small groceries (5 stars for you) The village Pub is also very enjoyable for a drink. The food is good! Friendly staff. It’s a great area for walking. In Stow-on-the-Wold is a Supermarket (10 min by car). The area is stunning, we have been several times in the Cotswolds and this wasn’t our last visit.

BEWARE - fraudulent experience.

BEWARE! This listing is a scam. In short, my trip deposit was taken/paid and then I began receiving sketchy/suspect email asking me to share my banking information to pay them more money off of the VRBO secured site. I tried working extensively with VRBO to report this listing and get my money back to no avail. My bank has flagged them and told me to continue to monitor my bank account due to this being suspected fraud.
