Cabin was just as described. Very clean and spacious. We liked having 2 King beds, which were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The cabin is in a nice location, with privacy and roomy driveway. We had 2 trucks with trailers and had plenty of room. One suggestion I would make is regarding the TV remotes. There were 6 remotes beside the TV in the Living Room and we had to keep trying until we found the one we needed. Only a minor detail, nothing that should keep someone from reserving the cabin.
Our stay was great. We had a blast in the game room and siting outside listening to the waterfall in the creek was awesome. The only thing was not having a hot tub like was on the listing. But the place was very nice and clean and the host was very responsive
The house was beautiful and easy to find. There was plenty of room for my family of 4. Quiet and peaceful and loved sitting on the porch listening to the water from the creek below. The kitchen was stocked with all the things you don’t think to bring. Lots of games & puzzles to play and put together. The game room was lots of fun, however, the pool table was a little warped so the balls kept rolling to the middle. Would definitely stay here again should the need arise.
Between the game room, bunk beds and creek to play in, this place is perfect for a family of young and old. Its location is a brief drive (5mins) from downtown Murphy, making it easy to come and go for adventures away from the cabin. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!

Needs updated
Bunk beds were very uncomfortable, had to purchase air mattresses to sleep on. The bottom floor was very musty smelling and I couldn’t enjoy the bottom floor because of the severe mustiness. It also triggered my daughter’s asthma. Too much clutter-needs to be redecorated in some areas. I ended up with glass in my foot from the kitchen floor. No hot tub even though it says hot tub. I did ask the owner a few days prior to arrival about the hot tub and was told no there isn’t but there is a large soaking tub in master bedroom. That is not the same as a hot tub. Master bedroom furniture is in need of repair as well. And pillows for the master bedroom were flat.
This is following a full three stay.

Negatives:
Living room furniture very so so
Internet very weak - could not sustain streaming.
Because of the location in the forest and the roof overhangs, dark in the mornings until about 10 am.
We had a wonderful stay. This is our second time staying here and we love it. It is always well keep and clean. We never have any problems. It is a beautiful place
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Very clean, comfortable beds, spacious, lots of cooking utensils, and I loved sitting on the back porch hearing the birds and the creek below. Just wish there was a table on the porch for a cup or plate of food. It was very conveniently located near the town of Murphy. Thank you!
The cabin was very well kept, cozy and wonderful. My family and I had a great time and Michelle is amazing and super, super attentive and quick to reply to any questions we had while we were there.
Great location, beautiful cabin great area and the owner could not had been any more helpful. Answered back fast and very reliable, I will definitely be back
We came up from Florida to visit family and for our grandkids to see snow for the first time. We had a wonderful stay and everything was perfect. Will definitely stop again. The host was very helpful with everything.
We spent a week here and overall enjoyed our stay. I made the mistake of thinking the house would be big enough for our crew with 4 older kids, but it was a tight fit, especially working in the kitchen. But that was my misjudgment. The house itself is nice and clean with a finished basement that contains the pool table and other games. There's no bathroom down there and narrow, steep stairs to get up and down. The upper deck was nice, with some rockers that we really enjoyed. And we used the fire pit a few times. The charcoal grill is tiny, so don't rely on using that for a large group. The bunk room had an old, front-heavy TV--I'd be crazy nervous about that if my kids were younger. Even with them being older (age 10 and up), I warned them to be super careful because the TV is front heavy. They're tech savvy but couldn't get the Xbox to work with that TV. The satellite had some XXX rated material on it that I was worried my kids might stumble across, but not much for families. The Wi-Fi exists, but couldn't support my techy kids with all they do online. My husband and I gave up on the Wi-Fi entirely and just used our cell signal, which also wasn't great. My kids couldn't get the jetted tub to work--I didn't take time to try myself, so I'm not sure if it's because the jets are disabled or if they missed a step to turn it on. On the bright side, the water pressure was great (a problem I've read about at other houses), access to town was convenient, the neighborhood was quiet, the little stream in the back was bubbly and pretty, and the owner was quick to respond to my messages, even months before my trip. We had fun finding some hiking spots (definitely check out Fires Creek), and we ate at the Murphy square a couple of times. Don't bother going to eat in the middle of the week, though--we tried four different restaurants before we found one that was open on a Wednesday at about 2 pm. My favorite part about the cabin--the king mattress in the main bedroom is super comfortable. I usually have a hard time sleeping away from home, but this time I went right to sleep each night and slept late every morning. Overall, we had a restful week, which was our goal.
The cabin was amazing, extremely clean, and well stocked. Nice covered porches, you can sit in one of the rockers and listen to the stream below and the birds. Its a steep climb up and down to the stream but we did it, it was really nice. Pet friendly, which is a big plus for families with fur babies. Every room had a tv the perfect size, for that room, with Dish. Cell service if spotty but they had Wi-Fi. We played a game of pool and air hockey downstairs. It was the perfect location for us close to Helen, Ga, Cherokee, NC, and Gatlinburg, TN the drives to all were beautiful. We saw lots of deer and elk. In town we found Parsons Pub a great little Irish place with good food/beer and friendly staff. Also would recommend Rib Country(best BBQ we’ve ever had) and Monte Alban. Communication was perfect, check in and out was easy. I would 100% recommend the Cabin and the Host.
We, my husband and 2 girls, ages 14 and 10, all had an amazing time staying in the cabin. It was so welcoming, comfortable, beautifully decorated and felt like we were at home. I truly wish we could have stayed a few more days! So peaceful sitting on the porch day or night. Thank you so much! I would recommend this to anyone who needs to get away! Nearby small town and we did some hiking. We will be back!

Why they chose this property
We visited over 30 properties before walking into Star Creek Cabin. It was still under construction with cement floors and they we laying the stone for the fire place. it took only a moment to know this was the perfect spot for our family get away.
The small charming town of Murphy has it all, local restaurants, coffee shops, movie theatre, Casino, golfing, hiking, parks and more!
What makes this property unique
The drive to the cabin is easy without scary angles and solid ground parking. An average car can drive it year round without worry. Be sure to check out Rare Bird Emporium, Legends Steakhouse, Monte Alban & Rib Country!
