About this property

Ingol Lodge, Ingoldisthorpe, Norfolk

A fabulous contemporary cedar lodge in the rural village of Ingoldisthorpe, with panoramic countryside and coastal views, ideal for a couple or two, or a grown up family looking for a peaceful escape. Over the winter months wonder at the sight and haunting sound of skeins of pink footed geese as they fly overhead and watch spellbinding seabird murmurations - all from the comfort of this superb lodge.

Constructed in 2020 and being one of just two Brickley Wood Lodges (neighbouring Avocet Lodge, sleeps two) set high on the hill above the small village of Ingoldisthorpe. With beautiful boutique-style interiors and high end fixtures and fittings, you really will want for nothing - every little detail has been thought of to ensure you have the finest holiday. Just shake off your shoes, and slip into the slippers and dressing gowns provided, turn on the coffee machine, take a seat, relax and unwind in peaceful surroundings and simply take in the landscape above and below. The spacious light-filled, open-plan living area at the front of the lodge has a smart fitted kitchen at the back of the room that overlooks the dining and sitting areas where there's a widescreen television to entertain, should you ever tire of the endless view. From here double french doors lead out to an outdoor deck - this part of the North Norfolk coast unusually faces West and is the ideal place to watch as the sun sets on the Wash in its glorious technicolour. At the rear of the lodge are two supremely comfortable bedrooms, both with super-king size beds; one of which can be offered as full-size twin beds if preferred, and two bathrooms, one being en-suite to the master bedroom.

Ingoldisthorpe is a charming little village, just inland from the coast, and is perfect for immersing yourself in nature, birdwatching or biking along the national cycle route. Some of Norfolk's finest beaches, country houses, rural and coastal walks, and fine dining are all on the doorstep.

Ingol Lodge can also be booked as a sleeps 2 option: Ingol Lodge (2), and could make a good choice for booking with neighbouring Avocet Lodge, which sleeps two.

Lovely Lodge great location.

Our second visit, been in both lodges same high standard in both. Lodges close to several beaches, Sandringham and other places of interest which makes it a great location for a holiday.

Fantastic lodge in beautiful countryside

This lodge definitely has the wow factor, it is absolutely stunning. Very comfortable, lovely big beds and top quality fittings everything was perfect. Was our 1st time in Norfolk so we were out and about a lot but could have easily spent the days in the lodge enjoying the views and the wildlife. We will definitely 100% be booking again.

Perfect break in Norfolk.

Lovely accommodation. My wife and I are in our mid-80's with limited mobility. We found access hazardous, particularly the smooth slate steps when wet. Access would benefit from a handrail to the steps. We also found the shower tray in the en-suite room hazardous when wet with water and soap. The fitting of a grab rail and non-slip mats to the shower tray would improve safety.

Amazing, beautiful, clean, comfortable and modern lodge.

Had an amazing stay (4 adults) is this well designed and new lodge. Our stay was extremely comfortable and the lodge is around a year old so everything is sparkly clean and bright. It's interior is well designed and spacious. Loads of kitchen equipment and love the deck area which has great westerly views to watch the sun set over Hunstanton beach. This was our base while exploring the north Norfolk coast and proved a good base location.

Fabulous lodge

An absolutely beautiful lodge to stay, really large and ideal for us as two couples .Everything there that anyone could want and everything such good quality too. We would like to move in. The outside terrace was great to sit on in the evening to watch the sunsets with the sea in the distance and very peaceful too. The location was good too with shops a short drive or walk away. Lots of walks in the area and places to visit within a few miles. Would love to stay again and would highly recommend Ingol Lodge.
