About this property
Shieling Beag - an apartment that sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom
Sumptuous accommodation for 2!
Superbly furnished apartment for two making a great base for a short break in the lovely town of Banchory and perfectly placed for touring Royal Deeside. The sumptuous luxury accommodation with Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels and anti allergy duck down & feather duvets ensures that you will have a wonderful holiday.
The luxury accommodation of open plan living room and bedroom, with open plan kitchen dining area, and a spacious bathroom, provides excellent facilities for two people. There is also use of a private attractive garden to the rear. Shieling Beag is both tranquil and private, yet just 200 metres from the middle of the charming bustling town where there is a choice of tempting coffee shops serving delicious scones and cakes. There is also a good range of hotels and restaurants which specialise in local produce, beautifully presented meals and contemporary cuisine.
Royal Deeside is a stunning setting for a holiday throughout the year.
Within a short distance from the apartment you can enjoy wonderful riverside or woodland walks. Fishing can be enjoyed, with a permit for the River Dee or simply at a local fishery. In winter, the Lecht and Glenshee sports facilities are available and the ski slopes are only an hour's drive away. Summer activities at the Lecht include downhill mountain trails for mountain biking. Other activities in the area include walking and cycling in the Cairngorms National Park, exploring the stunning coastline of north east Scotland, travelling on the steam railway, the thriving arts and music venue, and golf, with the Banchory golf course within a short walking distance.
Nestling at the gateway to Royal Deeside and on the banks of the River Dee, Banchory is a beautiful place to enjoy a holiday. Deeside's historical connections can be explored in the town and there is a wealth of beautiful castles to visit locally which include NTS castles such as Crathes and Drum, as well as Balmoral Castle, the Scottish home of the Royal Family. There are truly so many sights to see that you really are spoilt for choice.
