The Nook is a characterful country cottage in the very heart of Ambleside set on a quiet lane behind the main thoroughfare yet within a stone’s throw of a host of walks, attractions, shops and restaurants. Of course, when the weather is fine and dry, a variety of low and high level fell walks and cycle routes can be enjoyed from the doorstep of The Nook by all the family but occasionally, it may just rain and there are plenty of indoor activities to sample in that case; The Climbing Wall, a new facility offering climbs for all abilities and from age 5 in a supervised environment or why not take in a film at one of Zeffirelli’s cinemas and enjoy a ’meal deal’ at the same time.
Beautifully presented, The Nook offers stylish and quality accommodation for 6 combined with traditional features of stone and wooden floors, beamed ceilings and wood burning stove to warm your toes in the winter. The thoughtful owners have provided a selection of Wainwrights and Julia Bradbury guide books for your enjoyment which may just whet your appetite for getting on your boots and out onto the fells and a DAB radio so you can keep a check on the forecast for the days ahead. Blessed with ample parking for up to 3 cars and an enclosed courtyard seating area, The Nook is the perfect village based accommodation, a real home from home in which to spend a rather special Lakeland holiday with your loved ones.
