5min drive to Astoria & 10min drive to Seaside.

Great Place!

This house is great for a large group! It has plenty of space to spread out, multiple bedrooms/bathrooms, well stocked kitchen and the backyard is super cute! I would love to come in the summer and enjoy the fire pit. The host was very responsive. Will definitely be back!

A great friends getaway

We had a girls weekend at this coastal retreat and were quite pleased with the property and location. There were 5 of us, and each of us had our own room. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was clean and lovely. The location was great because it was close to Astoria where we spent some time during the days. Overall, I would suggest this property for a group of friends or a family.

This property was incredibly comfortable and welcoming. The backyard area with the fire pit and patio were so picturesque, two rooms had sweet little balconies, and the pool table was a fun plus! We will definitely keep this place in mind for return trips.

Family get away

We had a wonderful stay, the house was perfect. The kitchen has everything you need, plenty of bath towels. The kids came in the house saying this is the best house ever. They loved the pool table and the hobbit room. Thank you for sharing your cute house with us. I would highly recommend this house.

Eagles Nest Retreat

A lovely updated vacation home with private backyard nestled in a grove of trees, enjoy bird watching each morning with your coffee! Plenty of room for our family, we prepared meals in a well equipped kitchen and enjoyed a barbeque on the back porch. It was an easy walk to Fred Meyer for last minute ingredients for a banana cake. Only about a 10 minute drive to Astoria.

Fun and beautiful home

The Grandkids loved the pool table! The home is huge and beautiful. We had problems checking in, my phone could not open the PDF file for some reason, but the family called right back and got us in. The heaters need better directions. You need to not only adjust the thermostat, but also turn on each individual wall unit. The house was down to 61 degrees by Wednesday night. Make sure you secure the key to remove the lock for the pool table. The kids went through all our quarters within the first 3 hours we were at the home. It being Thanksgiving we had trouble getting any more quarters. The owners got back to us the next morning and told us how to remove the lock. The owners responded in a timely manner to all our questions. I had never stayed in a VRBO that the host didn't have a notebook with all the instructions (lots of things are electronic and required using a remote). The batteries ran out in 3 remotes, so take AAA batteries. But like I said they did answer quickly, and were very accomodating.

A little something for everyone

Great property - We had 5 adults and 2 teenage boys and the the house was perfectly laid out. A loft and pool table for the teenage boys a private suite and the other two rooms all perfectly separated for privacy. A fun little hobbit door with for more beds that my grand kids loved playing in when they visited a great fire pit out back for room for everyone to hangout around in the evening. Conveniently located ear stores and a quick drive to spend the day in Astoria

Best vacation house we have ever rented. Beautiful deco. Well stocked kitchen. Beds were comfortable

Great house!!! We loved it was handicap accessible. I would suggest you supply a shower chair or state on the description to bring our own. We could have use instructions on how to work the TV remotes. We never did figure out how to charge the volume. Lastly I never received check out instructions.

We (the several generations) that own, built and care for this wonderful home, would like to welcome you to our one-of-a-kind beach retreat. You will never find another home quite like this one... Every piece of wood in this home was handcrafted by our family as it was built from the ground up. Each item in the home has a story to be told by someone who we consider family. We have spent the past 30 years building what is now a place to create memories with your loved ones, cook food, catch fish, roast mellows and tell stories by the fire.

Why they chose this property

This (original) home/property has been in the family for over 100 years. It started as a small 400 sq ft fishing/home that was built from reclaimed wood after a shipwreck in the area. Over the past five generations we have rebuilt, added-on and recreated the home to fit our large, extended family (Ohana). Never forgetting where it all started, we have tried to maintain the warmth and love that this amazing home has always provided us. It has taken many years to get to where we are now, and we want nothing more then to share our home with others. We hope that this home will give you the many great memories that it has for us!

What makes this property unique

Our hope is that you will fall in love with the many small touches in this home... From laying in the hammock on the front porch, watching the Eagles nest in the nearby trees, to the two jacuzzi tubs to soak in. The hardest decision you will have to make while staying here will be choosing which of the 3 fires you want to snuggle up next to at night!
