This gorgeous holiday home is everything you want from a seaside break – literally just a few yards from the shore on the outskirts of the quaint village of Collieston, you will not tire from the sound of the waves and the everchanging seascape. Commanding panoramic views towards the sea, there is a seating area which looks directly onto the shore and is a perfect spot to have an al fresco meal or a drink after a day out exploring the fascinating coastline.
The cottage has been carefully furnished with a bright interior, complemented by the owners’ artistic touch. The property is set in a generous paved area with a secluded decked seating area to the side of the house – a real sheltered suntrap, while inside the cosy rooms are perfect in less clement weather. There is plenty to see and do in the area: nearby Cruden Bay is home to a world class golf course which attracts many visitors through the year while to the north the brooding presence of Slains Castle, widely acknowledged to be the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula is well worth a visit.
Nearby The Bullers of Buchan, an awesome natural phenomenon where the sea rushes into a vertical cavern, is an absolute must. For wildlife lovers, here you are based within Forvie Nature Reserve, with walks right from the doorstep where you can enjoy the stunning scenery of sand dunes and swirling waters. Visit Newburgh beach, home to the largest colony of seals in Scotland. The city of Aberdeen is just 23 miles away offering all modern facilities and the coastal trail north takes in many other quaint villages offering many a pleasant day out. Beach 10 meters away.
